Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
I don’t know where the inspiration for that mess came from, but it sure wasn’t “Walden”.
1Obviously someone with more money than brains or taste.
2No Billionaires for Bernie.
“The fact that 15 billionaires donated to Michael Bennet, who has zero chance of winning, is a great example of how billionaires don’t spend their money well,” Cohn tweeted.

Alone Among Democratic Frontrunners, Sanders Gets No Cash From Wealthiest Americans”Zero billionaire donors. None. Nada.”
The donations to Bennet indicated to Boston activist Jonathan Cohn that wealth doesn’t necessarily mean that one makes good decisions.

3A 29 million dollar home “inspired” by Walden? Walden Pond? Henry David Thoreau? But. . .I. . .there are no words.
4Perhaps it was a typo or auto-correct and they actually meant to type was “inspired by Walmart.”
51. Walden???
2. Nah!
3. What was that woman smoking!
6Even the boathouse is bigger than Henry’s cabin!
7This outruns ‘irony’ six ways from Saturday.
The designer of this rather ugly 10,515sqft three beedroom home is “world-renowned and decorated architect Annabelle Selldorf”.
It’s in Colorado, 70 acres on Whiskey Ridge. Not much house for the money, nice location though.
Looks ok inside, but rather hideous from outside.
The owners sure got ripped off, imo, [“members of the Kerzner family (founders of the One&Only Resorts)”.
The place is on the market [already?] for $29M [$2,758/sqft]. The owners must not be too pleased.

8Well…
It’s on a pond, or possibly a small lake.
And it’s constructed of wood, though that could just be sheathing.
And it’s simple; or more accurately, simply ghastly.
But no. Just NO.
If whoever created this monstrosity ever heard of Thoreau, they either never read him, or they have a truly depraved sense of humor.
NO!!
9Yes but Thoreau had access to a train, so his friends would drop by on occasion from the city with Chinese takeout and beer.
