Just My Humble Opinion
If you cannot stand up the Donald Trump’s insane ravings, then maybe being the leader of the free world is not your calling.
Romney told reporters Monday:
You know, I don’t agree with all the people who support me and my guess is they don’t all agree with everything I believe in. But I need to get 50.1 percent or more and I’m appreciative to have the help of a lot of good people.
So, you know, if Ted Kaczynski or Sister Souljah wants to endorse him, that’s just fine.
Look, if Romney would make deals with the devil to be President, maybe he ought to be required to get a pitch fork and cloven hoofs.
But hey, he and Donald have a lot in common – they both like to fire people.
Romney pals around with Errorists.
Also, he’s a little unclear on how elections work. In a straight head-to-head vote, you don’t need 50.1%, you need 50%+1. However, that whole Constitution thingie, that the GOTP keeps banging its head against, makes that number 270, which is a whole other kettle of chowder.
Just ask President Gore.
1When I first heard the allegation that “Romney has no core. He will do anything and say anything to any one to get elected,” I thought it might indeed be true. However, now it is clearly true.
The man is more than a panderer, he is scared of losing and will not stand up to even the most egregious lies and slanders. How can we stomach such a man as President.
I listened to a local NPR program touting the opening of new local Mormon Temple. The man representing the Temple was explaining the difference between a stake church and a Temple. The stake church is for the average Mormon. The Temple is for those deemed worthy to be considered “Temple” members. Each new Temple is open to the public for a brief time, then closes to admit only Temple members.
According the representative, only those Mormons who can be recommended through two interviews with high-ranking local church officials can be become Temple Mormons. The representative did not go into all the questions that must be addressed during the Temple interview but did emphasize that the applicant must be a church member in good standing, be able to attest to being faithful to his or her spouse and attest to treating others fairly and honestly.
It is part of the Romney background story that he is indeed a Temple Mormon, and therefore held to a higher standard. How Mitt Romney can be considered an honest man who acts with fairness and openness is beyond me.
According to those standards, he brings shame to his church and should be cast out of the Temple. He not only lies, but refuses to stand up against lies his supporters make. That, to me, is not an honest man dealing fairly with others. It is the mark of a desperate, grasping man who will do anything or say anything to get the power and status he wants (and apparently needs).
I would not bring up his religion but he so obviously prides himself on it and yet so obviously goes against the standards it sets.
2Mitt Romney is a spineless jellyfish. Is this man for real?
3Go ahead. Bring it up. I think everyone ought be treated nice but I am getting tired of all the “I’m Tiffany and I read good books and I’m a Mormon.” billboards. Who’s paying for all those anyway?
4I’ll say it again and forever. Everyone needs to read Under the Banner of Heaven, by Jon Krakauer. An excellent book about the workings of the Mormon church. After reading this, you’ll understand about the lying… IOKIYAM. (It’s OK if you’re a Mormon).
5Thanks Nanciejane. I am ordering that book from the library in just a few moments. Knowledge is an important tool against liars.
6Correct Nancyjane. There are many books about the Mormon’s out there; fundamentalists being the scariest.
7Under The Banner Of Heaven is one of the best.
Mittens would kiss the devils ass if he thought it would get him into the White House…he has NO moral compass, he is a rich wanker who is used to getting what he wants and has been dreaming of this run for years…please baby Jesus don’t let it happen!
