Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
Oh Geez. I got goosebumps when I saw this.
1Go, kids, go.
+1
I have no words.
2Makes me happy and makes me laugh too. I’ll bet the right wing nuts will have plenty to say about those “liberal” jeans.
3Cannot wait til my issue arrives. Hopefully today. Thanks for letting us see the cover now! Those kids……Nobel prize material for sure.
4Quite the yearbook picture. Nobody in my high school ever looked that good.
5They are brave and totally committed to their cause.
6I cannot help but admire these young crusaders and hope they are able to effect change where we adults have failed.
Their courageous eloquence may finally shame the money grubbing gun manufacturers, the NRA and the bought and paid for Republican controlled Congress.
Wow their courage and compassion is awesome!
7This is why Republicans are trying so hard to privatize Public Education, gotta teach em young to respect the Christofascism lifestyle.
I hope this movement does not fizzle out, we need this. So very proud of these students. They have the cause and the strength, march on!
8I am looking forward to marching in St Paul on Saturday.
9It sure does make me smile!
10I have one brother (Vietnam vet) marching in Washington, D.C. on Saturday; another in San Francisco; and me in Juneau. I look forward to it too.
11Every single wonderful word y’all have written about those students in the previous comments — I echo with all the passion I can muster.
Sam, I’m assuming at the capitol. What time?
12I found this at Esquire for those of you who are interested: https://www.esquire.com/news-politics/a19559916/parkland-documentary/
It’s almost 27 minutes but worth the time. As you will read in the article the kids did this themselves.
13An when these kids run for office I hope I am still around to help them get it!
14Go get ‘em, kids!
