Just a Little Reminder About Our President’s Moral Leadership

Domestic terrorist Cesar Sayoc faces sentencing today for sending mail bombs to:

*Barack Obama

*Hillary Clinton

*Joe Biden

*Kamala Harris

*George Soros

*Tom Steyer

*Robert De Niro

*Eric Holder

*Maxine Waters

*Cory Booker

*John Brennan

*James Clapper

*CNN

Defense lawyers urge leniency, saying Cesar Sayoc, burdened as a child by severe learning disabilities, was living alone in a cramped van and working as a strip club DJ and a pizza deliveryman in West Palm Beach when he became “increasingly obsessive, paranoid and angry” and believed enemies of President Donald Trump were trying to hurt him and other Trump supporters.

  1. Grandma Ada says:

As I look at that picture I am reminded that the people in the background might all have had bad things happen to them in the past and be ready for revenge. Trump has let loose a vast army and they take him seriously!

  2. Would like to see the results of the psych exam and any analysis performed by a Board certified psychiatrist. Then and only then I might agree with the leniency of holding this guy in a “gated community” until he is too damn old and arthritic to be a threat on any level. He certainly won’t suffer “in care” like he did when he supposedly took care of himself. And, yes, Trump is what he hears in his head. And he ain’t the only one.

  3. NewsReader says:

The Toddler-In-Chief (TIC) blathers on the radio about how wonderful his plan is to stop massacres in America. Less than a week ago, he pardoned a man who had been convicted for selling at least 20 firearms. His reason for the presidential pardon? “[he’s a] . . . trustworthy man of exceptional character.”

  4. How convenient.
Mr. Sayoc “believed ‘enemies’ of President Donald Trump were trying to hurt him” so he tried to kill them.

    1] They’re not Trump’s enemies — they’re his opponents. There’s a difference.
2] Assuming he believed any such thing, he obviously suffers from the same deluded state Trump does: narcissism. His victims had no idea he existed, let alone plans to harm him, prior to his trying to kill them.
3] There are laws against vigilante actions. And he broke them.

His excuses don’t pass the smell test.
I’m crying buckets, over here, for Mr. Sayoc.

  5. Jane & PKM says:

Due process for Cesar Sayoc in the best of American traditions, please, always. But when do we prosecute those responsible for fomenting stochastic terrorism? Just as Bill O’Reilly murdered Dr. George Tiller, IQ4.5’s rhetoric has unleashed the most lunatic fringe of his supporters.

Response to the lunatic fringe Dotardites who would cite Amendments, particularly the First, as applied to them and only them, I’d recommend they study the prosecution and trial transcripts of one Charles Manson before leaving their rat infested compounds either “locked and loaded” or flapping their gums and/or twitter fingers like IQ4.5.

Leniency? No. Psychiatric care for the rest of his life, yes. Normal people don’t send bombs to Democratic politicians. Clearly, he needs to be in a safe setting, both for himself and others.

  7. “Sayoc told U.S. District Judge Jed S. Rakoff that he had abused steroids for more than four decades and was using 274 different supplements and vitamins along with ‘heavy amounts of steroids’ before his arrest.”

Steroid abuse is even dumber than meth.

  8. Buttermilk Sky says:

I don’t understand. Trump says mental illness caused the El Paso and Dayton (or as he calls it, Toledo) massacres. Then he demands the death penalty for El Paso. Which is it, stable genius?

The steroid defense is a new one. I guess there were no video games in the van plastered with Trump stickers.

My very extreme RWNJ brother is/might be just a notch or two down the wingnutty scale from this fanatic.
Bro bragged about, complete with pics and vid, of he and buddies at a GWB campaign rally beating down a sign-carrying Democratic protester.

Boosh? Yeah, I’ve been warning y’all about these whackjobs for decades now…

  10. Oldymoldy says:

I can’t help but want to see the photos of his van, which our non-partisan FBI covered to protect us all from such horror!

  11. Sandridge says:

Oldymoldy, the pics showing that whacko’s van, uncovered, with tRump & RWNJ stuff all over it are out there on the innartoobs, do a search.

  12. Sayoc was sentenced at trial on Monday to 20 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release.

One can only hope he serves his entire sentence and is not given an early release for good behavior or paroled. Worse yet, that he is not pardoned by trump for being such a great patriot.
