I Love You, Bud.
We all lost a beloved friend this week. Bud Malone has been my friend for longer than I can remember. Bud was an everyday fan of the beauty salon and wasn’t afraid to register his complaints to me if I ever got too moderate.
Bud raised hell and even named that sucker.
He was an uncommon hero in all that he did but he would blush if I ever said that out loud.
Bud passed away last week and I waited until his daughter Kathleen got his obituary online to tell you about it.
The greatest generation got their name from people like Bud.
He will be deeply missed. He left the world better for having lived in it.
My deepest sympathy to you and to his family. He sounds like he was an amazing man.
1I’m sorry to hear this, JJ. He did, however, live a very long and very productive life. I’m not surprised he found you through the WMDBS–like most of us.
2Condolences to Mr. Malone’s family and his many friends. 95 or 105, it’s always too soon with the good ones.
3Sorry to hear of your loss. Good friend are a treasure.
4“Bud left us with this: Never forget where you came from and who helped you along the way. And never, ever back anyone into a corner or a “no win” situation. There is always an equitable solution. Listen.”
’nuff said. Semper Fi bub.
5What an amazing man. I’m so happy to be in an area surrounded by people like Bud. He helped make MN the great state it is today.
6I never met the gent, but I regret you had to say goodbye to a good friend. And a very liberal Texan to boot! He sounds like perfection.
7I’m very sorry for your loss and to his family and everyone who loved him.
8I am so sorry to hear that you lost your good friend. Peace be with you.
9RIP Bud. I hope everyone takes the time to read his amazing obituary. Micr already posted my favorite quote. Wise words for all of us.
10JJ, you will undoubtedly see a new star in the sky tonight.
11I am sad for the loss that his family and friends endure, and I hope they comfort one another as they gather for this and future holidays by telling good stories about Bud.
12So sorry you lost your friend. What a life. My dad was a Mason and IBEW was his union, so I’ve been thinking of him, too — not a bad way to spend Christmas Eve.
13Deep condolences to you, his family, and his friends.
14Dearest JJ – you truly do know the best words. Kelly and I are honored to know you as our friend. My Dad loves you and was always emailing your Spot-on posts to us. Even though we both check in on you daily on our own. We love you JJ – please keep blessing us with your word-magic and your beautiful self. Hugs to Bubba too. Thank you. ❤️
