Here’s Something We Can Agree On

Well, lookie here.  It’s election season and nobody wants to stand with Trump in Pittsburg.

Both House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) were unable to make the trip due to scheduling conflicts, while House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) also decided not to attend.

I have this feeling in the pit of my stomach that Trump is going to do something insane in Pittsburg.  I think the congressional leaders feel it, too.

And so do these guys …

His visit to the city has been met with some backlash. A group of progressive Jewish leaders penned an open letter on Sunday telling the president he is not welcome until he denounces white nationalism.

More than 57,000 people have signed a petition from the group, the Pittsburgh affiliate of Bend the Arc: A Jewish Partnership for Justice, telling Trump he’s not welcome in the city.

It’ll be interesting.

  1. That letter now has over 66,000 signatures on it. Don’t think any one official from Pittsburgh will be meeting with tRump, because all will be attending funerals.

As a small city the Pittsburg PD will be focused on providing love and protection to the family and friends attending the services for their loved ones.

May an empty tarmac where Donnie lands match his empty soul.

  3. Cheryl Johns says:

Yes, the mayor has told him they don’t have the manpower to cover the funerals and his BS Orangeness. I hope they do the right thing and take care of their citizens, over the Orange Turd. Furthermore, funerals tend to disrupt traffic – which is fine – but his visits cause a huge traffic problem – so I guess he gets to disrupt the funerals.

  4. I hope the state of PA turns navy blue next Tuesday.
