This is kinda serious.
Bestselling novelists Stephen King and Don Winslow have offered to donate $200,000 to a children’s hospital if the White House press secretary, Stephanie Grisham, will hold a press conference, The Guardian reports.
Grisham attempted to shame them by saying they should just give the money to charity without strings attached.
Winslow responded:
“First, we both regularly donate to charity. Second, why do all Trump officials refuse to answer the most basic questions they are asked? Stop evading, Stephanie. Let’s try again: Why have you not held any White House press briefings for over 300 days? What are you afraid of?”
As yet, Grisham has not explained her reasoning.
Hey, the Press Secretary who won’t speak to the press is making about $180,000 a year.
Must be nice to make $180,000 a year for not doing your job. Of course, Trump makes $400,000 for not doing his. He “donates” it (where?) though, since he makes a ton more than that off the various grifts that his position makes possible.
1One definition of charity is to aid the helpless. Grisham isn’t fulfilling the duties of her job, or job description, yet is unable to explain the reason. Is she that helpless? Other than in helping herself to $180,000 a year? If so, I would think she should appreciate, understand, and assist in the work of other charitable donations.

17We need to get her to work with our HOA — they don’t like communication either. In fact, under the newly proposed “social media policy” we aren’t even allowed to mention their name other than in a (rough quote) “positive and respectful manner”.
Making it more interesting, our HOA name includes a part of town. So – in a rough way – it’s like living a “Galleria HOA” in Houston and then being told that you can’t use the word “Galleria” without getting into HOA jail.
