Giuliani Magically Comes to His Senses, After $1.3 Billion Lawsuit

January 26, 2021 By: El Jefe Category: 2020 Election, Alternative Facts, Giuliani

Dominion Voting Systems announced yesterday that they are suing Rudy Giuliani for a cool $1.3 billion for defamation.  Defamation is putting it lightly, since he spewed pure bullshit and fantastical conspiracy theories blaming the company for Trump’s loss at the polls.  The funny thing, though, is that three hours after being sued, Rudy suddenly came to his senses and announced on his radio show on WABC that “As far as this election is concerned, it’s over.” and, “Biden’s the president, she’s the vice president.”

Later, in a formal statement he complained that Dominion was trying to “intimidate” him with the large demand, and threatened discovery in his counter suit.  I’m sure they’re quaking in their boots.

Isn’t that the same Giuliani who said “let’s have trial by combat?” I’ll bet Dominion Voting Systems would be happy to send a representative to step into the boxing ring with him.

  6. I’ve heard a lot of old expressions that start with “it ain’t over ‘till,” but “it ain’t over ‘till the lawyer gets sued” is a new one for me.

As far as a game of chicken goes, Rudy filed what, sixty crap lawsuits that went nowhere? It only took one to make him blink.

Something tells me rudees “discovery” threat will just show more liability on his part. So go for it. Pretty sure Dominion already has that prepared from the other pending lawsuits.
Wonder who he’s planning to pay his legal fees.

Wait until Rudy’s expert witnesses undergo voir dire by Dominion’s lawyers. Should be amusing.

  9. I’ll bet he won’t be paying any defense lawyers $20,000 a day either.

Do you suppose he will get Sidney Powell or Jenna Ellis to defend him? That could get fairly amusing.

I’m hoping the trial will discover what Giuliani knows to make him say
“Our votes are counted in Germany and in Spain by a company owned by affiliates of Chávez and [current president Nicolás] Maduro. Did you ever believe that was true?”

    or unravel the word salad:
“You couldn’t possibly believe that the company counting our vote, with control over our vote, is owned by two Venezuelans who were allies of Chávez, are present allies of Maduro, with a company whose chairman is a close associate and business partner of George Soros, the biggest donor to the Democrat Party, the biggest donor to antifa and the biggest donor to Black Lives Matter.”

I hope the National press covers this lawsuit at trial – it should be a lot of fun!

  12. Dominion’s fought the Big Lie more effectively than anyone else. Thanks for this good news.
Interesting that the figure is $1.3 billion for both Powell and Giuliani.

  15. “As far as this election is concerned, it’s over.” and, “Biden’s the president, she’s the vice president.”

Still doesn’t actually say there was not cheating, though, does he? Weasel. And I apologise to weasels everywhere for the comparison.
