  1. If Cruz-er the Canuck were a tree he would be mahogany he is just that dense! He managed to blow off the popular and electoral votes of the entire state of New York last night. Methinks that in a previous life he got his training in bizarre accusations at the Salem witch trials!

  2. Linda Phipps says:

I can’t hold this in because I might explode: have you seen Trump’s Cheerleaders (The Freedom Girls). Ugh. Gah. Puke. All decked out in red white and blue, twitching their hips and singing a re-tooled WWI patriotic song. The best part: THEY ARE ALL WHITE! The audience just luuuuvvvved them, by what, sentimental isolationist grammas and men who love little girls? Ick, Pew.

“Open for Commercial Development” is exactly what the Tea Bagging idiots do not understand about their Koch backers. Without federal protection, we can kiss all of this land good-bye and see an end to potable water.

  4. Linda, I was aghast at the manipulation of those kids! If they are able to look back at the videos and such years from now they will likely have the same reaction. And, yes, I have been noticing the Lily Garden that Trump so assiduously nurtures everywhere he goes! And i bet the rest of the country isn’t blind, either!

  5. Great collection today.

  6. JAKvirginia says:

I agree with you PKM, but you fall prey to what a college prof of mine called “humanistic pomposity”. You used the word ‘we’ when in fact it’s not about us but about all that other life out there which needs to survive so thus we can also. What few humans admit is that humanity has no purpose on this planet. If we all one day disappeared, the planet would get along just fine without us.

  7. What a pity that the Tea Party models itself less on Boston, more on Mad Hatter.

    7
  8. I wish that Paul Ryan had ducked out. Looking at his smirking face was annoying and distracting. What a contrast President Obama represented to that of the crude and hypocritical R-Klan.
    Dignity vs. Absurdity.

  9. Polite Kool Marxist says:

JAKvirginia, you’re correct, but “humanistic pomposity” is all I have until the last Koch and Bundy types leave the planet.

    9
  10. JAKvirginia says:

Well PKMZ, don’t hold you breath. As much as we hate them we keep makin’ them. Sigh.

Lyric flashback from the 60’s: When will they ever learn?

    10
  11. Polite Kool Marxist says:

JAKvirginia, that’s what my Grandmother sings: “When will they ever learn?” She mourns the 60s for the progress that was made only to have been pushed back by the wing nut ‘southern strategy.’ But it’s easy to put a smile on her face with a hug; bringing along a guitar helps. Her voice is still as true as her heart.

    11
  12. PKM, I mourn the 60s because we had hope then. Granted, things have significantly improved since then for pretty much everybody who’s not a straight white male smoker who eats meat.

    12
  13. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Rhea, for all of my very minor disagreements with President Obama, he did deliver on his promise of “hope and change.” We’re now negotiating where we used to bomb. We have avenues of communication with Iran and Cuba. Ten sailors are now safe because we had direct lines of communication with Iran.

And, if we all gather to get out the vote, we very well could regain the Senate, maintain the Presidency, while making significant inroads into restoring sanity to the House. I’m a Bernie supporter, but if HRC is the Democratic nominee, I’ll support her. Anything to keep snacilbupeR paws off the nukular button and ensure the RATS in our SCROTUS are not given a weasel or two or three to establish their Opey Dopey theocratic takeover.

Coyotes.buzzards, hyenas and cock roaches have asked that Dems turn out the lights. None of Nature’s garbage disposals want to touch withered, white wingnut flesh. They aren’t as unparticular as they are made out to be.

PKM-Pete Seeger passed on Jan 27,2014 at age 94. Enjoy.

  16. Polite Kool Marxist says:

e platypus onion, thank you! My Grandma will be pleased, when I show up with that chord sequence and invite her to sing along in a tribute to Pete Seeger. Her tones today are so clear that I have no doubt why Grandpa fell in love with her.

    16
  17. Linda Phipps says:

Comment on “When will the every learn”‘ … why should they, whatever they pull over the eyes of the gullible works!

    17
  18. Pete Seger was a courageous American hero.

    18
  19. e platypus onion says:

Damn straight he was. Even more so when compared to what wingnuts consider heroes-wealthy people who inherited their money and pulled themselves up off the floor after a drunken binge and only killed a few commoners on their way home to sober up. 🙂
