Fled Cruz

April 15, 2023 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Okay, since we all know that the two places Ted Cruz hates to be are Houston (where he lives) and Washington DeeCee (where he works), it’s always fun to watch him travel and pay for it out of his campaign funds.

Here’s one for you to admire:

Click on it to get the big one.

This was almost exactly a year after the Houston big freeze, where 246 people died from being cold because the power grid failed. Cruz’s answer to the freeze was to sneak off to Cancun and then lie to the press when he got caught.

So, to commemorate the fact that Houston can tolerate 105 degrees just fine, but we have to put on a coat to look at pictures of Alaska, Ted pre-planned his get away.  I checked the weather and the week before, Houston had a solid week of rain and 40 degrees.  So, he’s Fled Cruz once again.

I know how much some of you enjoy perusing his campaign expenditures, so let us know if you find anything else funny.  Here ya go for weekend fun!

  1. Questions. I got lotsa questions. Like, why did he pay over $500 to a florist in Los Angeles?

Anyone running ads about Abbott spending billions on useless border posturing while letting the power grid collapse?

On a side note – the next big feature for electric cars is “vehicle to house” power. It lets your house run off the car’s batteries during a power outage. Texans may want to think about this.

I loved the Chronicles Thumbs column today with Cruz AI pics fro the Instagram RuPublican site – Cruella Deville is a good character for him!

As you scan through the FEC link, notice how stingy his pay for “payroll” is. Especially compared to things like “political strategy”, “security services”, or “legal consulting”. Those items go to his buddies that have opened up K Street shops, while payroll is for the lowly types that do all his work for him. Of course the Great Rafael Himself must get every penny he can, like the 47 cents for a bank fee. Probably one of those minimum pay slaves has to keep track of the pennies. Rafael would never rummage around in the couch cushions in his office for change that might have fallen out of visitors’ pockets … but I suspect he makes some staffer do it for him every evening before leaving the office.

Always pay attention to things that are nice, round numbers. All of those consultancies for exactly 10k or 20k stink of corrupt buddies being paid in hopes of them doing the same for him or his wife in the future. The only services that I know of which get such nicely rounded sums involve pimps and prostitutes.

  6. It would be nice if his actual name was used – Rafael .

Jim@6: got you covered! The very first line on the form is a reimbursement for Rafael Cruz. I figure he needs “Ted” for campaign purposes (don’t want any East Texas cedar-choppers thinking he’s Mexican or French), but when it comes to money being paid to him, he wants to make sure the check clears.

  8. Tired of being a STOOPID Texan says:

Seems like every time the sun rises on the Texas Coast area, someone from either or BOTH parties) gets caught doing something that they don’t think the American public will understand or question. Bernie Sanders top 5 contributers 2017 to 2022 (Look at OpenSecrets dot Org) appear to be from New York or California…..aint that weird for the Senator from Vermont?)

    Short Course in Cruzstoopid
Campaign pays for flight to USVI
Ferry from USVI to British Virgin Islands (see tax haven 101)
is no more than $50 US unless you “meet someone in a bar
that gots a Big Ole Boat and offers you a ride”
Trouble Teddy (and his “new friend”) get to visit their shared
23d cuzzin named Tax Haven Tom in BVI
    Ain’t that Weird???

    WE ARE SMARTER THAN THAT.

I picked on Bernie because he sings the “no corporate donors” song and yet individuals affiliated with the University of California contributed at least $6K a year for 5 years….are they opening a “branch campus” in Vermont or building “The Bernie Sanders Memorial Volleyball complex” next to Apple World Headquarters. Alphabet Companies(also on the list) is Google founded and funded.

It’s easy to pick on “the Party of Orangeman” coz there might be MORE stooopid that the Blue People but BOTH parties are doing it…..with an apparent great deal of latitude

Main Stream Media is feeding off of these monies and is unlikely to move away from the “feeding part of a mama pig” until someone really really really puts the brakes on this money feeding frenzy. Fox apparantly got caught but I’m just betting that you will find the same kind of stuff happening with all medium to large media companies on either side of politics.

My sermon for today. Some will think I’m watching for spaceships in my Aluminum Sundress/hat ensemble…..so be it, I’ll live. BUT I AM NOT STOOOPID and neither are most all of the readers here.

Not a big fan of BS, but $6k a year is really pnuts compared to most politicians. Name any loud mouth R. I’m just guessing that there are individuals affiliated with the UofC (Berkeley?) that agree ideologically with BS.
