Evil Democratic Socialism

February 25, 2019 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Democratic socialism is so evil, especially when there’s so many other good things to replace it.

Seriously, he wants to use the Mussolini argument against socialism? Like Mussolini had a better idea?

Okay, it has become award-winning weird when a Republican United States Senator throws out a Mussolini quote with no context whatsoever. Yes, that is Texas Senator John Cornyn quoting Benito Mussolini. When challenged why he would quote Mussolini out of the clear blue, he explained that democratic socialists “have forgotten or never learned the lessons of history, and how their ideology is incompatible with freedom.”

And you’re gonna quote Benito Mussolini to make that point for you?

I dunno, John, if you’re gonna go full fascist on us, just say so.

Cornyn, after half the Twitter asks What The Hell, replies, “Did I over estimate the intelligence of some in the twitter sphere?”  That’s it. That’s all he said about it.

Yeah, that’s the problem in America today.  John Cornyn is just too damn smart.

Be social and share!

  1. So what he’s saying is that all the laws Republicans want to pass regulating our private lives are taking away our freedom, like Mussolini?

  2. Only to be expected from a Trumpolini supporter.

I don’t think overestimate was the correct word. I think he was looking for “misunderestimate”.

  7. It would mean a pay cut and a loss of prestige, but would Cecile Richards consider taking his Senate seat?

Too young today means too young to remember when the Senate was considered to be prestigious. Did the embarrassment happen with the election of Teddie Crooze? Traitor Tom Cotton? Snowball Inhofe? 1896 when Utah was admitted to the Union?

  8. It’s hard to know if Cornyn is talking about simpler times, or simpler minds. Perhaps he’s thinking (ouch!) back to 7th grade when his history teacher chastised him, “Johnny! When I say turn in you homework, I mean finish your homework and turn it in completed.”

And in the margins of his spiral notebook he drew a weird monster uttering, “complicated.”

    Choice: cornyn or Benito?
    That’s a tough call.

  10. He already knows what I think of him…

  11. Does Cornyn not recall the history of his quote’s initiator? Like, WW2, the destruction of almost all of Europe and most of the rest of civilization, and the untold millions of lives lost? Not to mention how Mussolini and his girlfriend ended up???

Jeez, what is with these dopes?

  12. Rick Stelter says:

He should paint his face blue like Mel Gibson in Braveheart, go naked and scream, FREEDUMB!!!!
It would be just as intelligent, make as much sense and would jazz up the mouth breathers just as well, but it would be much better television.

  13. Cecile Richards cannot win in Texas.. The only issue needed for her to lose is abortion. Unfortunately, it’s going to take a white man to defeat Cornyn. (no offense to white men- I’ve been married to one for 48 years, and he’s wonderful.)

  15. Nothing amiss with the quote: Freud and Shakespeare said the same thing.

Start worrying about something serious: climate change, nuclear war, mutating diseases, food shortages, multiplying despots.

Anfd maybe think about how the voters’ minds are failing under that load…

  16. Buttermilk Sky says:

Apparently Cornyn thinks Mussolini was a socialist, which he was for a few months before inventing fascism (which he defined by saying “fascism is corporatism”). He probably also thinks Mussolini’s ally Hitler was a socialist (“national socialism,” it’s right there in the name!). Do Texas schools teach history?

    Die Führerprinzip!

  18. Senator, I have something shocking to tell you so you had better get a very, very good grip on something. We are all and have been for many year been children of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. When pressed, such as when someone attacks that relationship by threatening Social Security, we tend to defend what he did for us, not TO us. See the difference?

    18
  19. Can’t say I’m surprised. Trump is essentially Mussolini with half the IQ.

    19
  20. Infidel753, Probably half is fair enough, Mussolini was considered ‘genius IQ’, so DJT at a 70-80 IQ seems about right as snark.
Although I think that he’s actually a pretty smart dude, but only in the ‘cunning and conniving’ sense.
