Early Voting for Fort Bend County Is In

November 06, 2018 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Guys, for the first time in 28 years a Democrat will be elected countywide in Fort Bend County, the swing county of Texas.

In fact, not just one person, every damn countywide Democratic candidate, all judicial, the DA, and court administrators are leading in early voting at about 53%.  That’s 11 seats that will probably flip – they are at 53% in early voting and only 1 time in 28 years have I seen a seat lost after winning early voting.

You are very much a part of this.  Thank you so much.  You helped cause a blue wave.

I’ll keep you updated as more votes come in.

We took back the House.  Yes!

  1. Fingers crossed!
Looks like we MAY flip some house seats in Kansas too.

  2. Cruz has begun inching ahead very slightly (after behind) w/~4% of todays’ vote plus much of EV.

However, major cities are only reporting like 1 precinct today so far, while low pop red rural counties (<1000 votes total) are wrapping up. So the county map looks quite red, but for those massive city votes pending.
IF GOTV has been effective, Beto might do it… Cruz looks wounded, may he bleed out.

  3. Ted Cruz Incumbent Republican 2,143,550 50.3%
    Beto O’Rourke Democrat 2,087,897 49.0
    Neal Dikeman Libertarian 26,355 0.6
    369 of 7,939 precincts reporting (4.7%)

    EV is a big chunk)

Elsewhere, not looking so good for a nationwide blue wave…

  5. OMFG, mighty Kenedy County going for Cruz, 55.6%.
86% reported, 180 votes, will have about 220 vote total for the county…

Think King Ranch, where the head of the ranch, Tio Kleberg, is a big Cruz/Trump fan (almost everybody works for him).
The only town in Kenedy County is Sarita, pop 238, with the only school. That very small school has about the highest per pupil expenditure in the world~$60,000+/pupil/year, IIRC. All get local scholarships.

    WTF? Still going for Cruz?:
had a population of 238. Sarita has been ranked the most politically liberal town in Texas.[2]

MSNBC is calling the race for Cruz! I am so upset. Hopefully, this will prove incorrect by tomorrow. I’m still holding my breath.

  7. 1smartcanerican,
Only 23% counted in so far, I don’t see big city votes shown on the TT map yet. I’ll wait, it’s a nailbiter.

  8. This election is neither a wave for Dems or for Cons. However, those who voted for Cons have drug the rest of us kicking and screaming into Con He77. Hometown Dems don’t deserve the next two years or the clusterf**k that will be the 2020 potus election.

I, too, live in another blue island in a sea of red….Democratic sweep here in the mountains of western NC from State house on down. I’m feeling incredibly grateful for this bit, and incredibly sad for Beto and the people of Texas.

  12. Watching the TV. A number of reported “wins” still hang on still more precincts to be counted and this is at 9 AM the day after voting. Also, talking heads are telling me that there are still outstanding mail in ballots etc. to be counted. Just when you thought it was all over . . .
