Distorting Reality

July 25, 2018 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

I have a question, if the Republican Administration can cut entire sections of a press conference out of the public record, can we cut that same Republican Administration out of the history books?

Asking for a country.

  1. it’s already been done for Bush II, who ceased to exist in Republican Party memory, the moment he left office.

  2. Wrong, wrong, this is more and more the beginnings of a dictatorship! Don’t ask any questions, we will silence any questions we do not like!!!!!!!

This is why democracy can’t exist without a free and vigorous press.

And also why I fervently hope that every news organization out there, audio, video, and print, is keeping archives of all their work. On non-erasable media, and in secure storage, with backups.

That’s the insidious thing about digital media. It’s so fungible. And so many entities are all too willing to exploit that.

  4. If a Texas district judge loses his or her ordinary cool and goes off on one of the able counselors during a trial AND you want to know word for word what was said by each, go to the court reporter’s dirty copy. There if the court reporter is competent and experienced you will find the profane tirade reduced to “INAUDIBLE”.

American Historians will figure out a way to describe November 2016 through the end of the disgraceful Trump Administration in a similar, generally accepted historical term to “INAUDIBLE”. While Americans ultimately must understand what happened during this time frame, that analysis cannot begin until all of us are dead. This time period is an outlier, a time of savage instability in an otherwise average democracy.

  5. Aw, hell! When I was coming along history books completely pretended that a whole mess of things never happened. I had to go to the public library to a special section when Das Capital was kept and find things out in all of those books!

  6. What’s the qualitative difference between this and making political enemies disappear? How long until they start doing that? Naomi Klein spelled it all out in “The Shock Doctrine” in 2007, and now it’s happening, right before our eyes.

  7. Kenneth Fair says:

It seems to me the original video is a Presidential record under 44 U.S.C. sec. 2201(2). How is its alteration not against the law?

Oceania was at war with Eastasia: Oceania had always been at war with Eastasia.

    Sadly, yes.

Equally sadly your statement makes more sense than it ever has before.

Rachel Maddox did an excellent demonstration, showing both the real video then the disappeared one.
She also showed that the written transcript, published by Reuters, had also been altered with the offending question and
answer gone. This has to be a crime.
    Hope Mueller was watching.

Sorry about the typo, Rachel Maddow. Omg it was spell check.
When I retyped her last name, it erased the w and added the x. Doggone, the Russians hacked spell check.
