Why, yes, he did.  Here are the facts for when your Trump loving acquaintances deny it.

It is just a demonstration of defiance: Science is hooey. History is dead. America was reduced by being a part of the globe and using “soft power” rather than saber rattling.

EVERYTHING represented by policies that aren’t based in ideology from the time of, maybe Teddy Roosevelt. Which of course ignores TR’s support for conservation, monopoly busting, and purity of food and drugs.^ The fact is, a century has passed between then and now, and Science is one of the formative forces. And it could lead us away from the petrochemical dominated world that requires a MASSIVE public health sector (and therefor massive government) to prevent pandemics that spread around the world.

Like the one we are experiencing NOW…

Thanks, El Jefe. But having read the article, fixate, seriously fixate on where the mini-minds of the true IQ4.5* believers will go. John Bolton. Donnie* is responsible for nothing in their maniacal mental gymnastics. “They will go there” blaming anyone but Donnie*.

From the article: “Rear Adm. Timothy Ziemer abruptly departed from his post leading the global health security team on the National Security Council in May 2018 amid a reorganization of the council by then-National Security Advisor John Bolton, and Ziemer’s team was disbanded. Tom Bossert, whom the Washington Post reported “had called for a comprehensive biodefense strategy against pandemics and biological attacks,” had been fired one month prior.”

Rexxon Drillerson dismantled the State department. Bitsy DeVile has blown up Education. Etc. Etc. Etc. While it is perfectly obvious to ye and all sane adults, El Jefe, that IQ4.5* hired these people. After all it is his* maladministration, so he* is responsible. Alas, no. Nevuh happening. Not the responsibility part.

Donnie* did something st00pid because someone failed to convince him otherwise. Or, Donnie* didn’t take a necessary action because again someone else failed to brief the guy* who does not listen. It is truly amazing.

Donnie* is like the all merciful god in their minds. The god who rained down pestilence and mythically declared “when I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people …” Yes. They are that crazy. Only Donnie* isn’t a myth, but he is far more destructive.

Dayum. “Stark reality” seems a little inadequate.

El Jefe, while voting him* out in November is the obvious cure for Donnie’s* messianic complex, what do we do about his* cultists? Seriously, whatever happened to those who followed Jim Jones, David Koresh, and others like them who lived to tell about it? Anyone. Please share any and all updates on the psychology of deprogramming.

  5. Buttermilk Sky says:

Why do we have all these fire departments when fires are so rare? We’ll close the firehouses and lay everybody off until we need them. So much money saved.

  6. My wife’s sister is a Trump supporter and anti vaxxer. They were talking yesterday (my wife and she avoid discussing Trump directly) and my wife mentioned she’d just heard a local community was closing all their schools next week following a positive for the virus. She could just not understand why they were doing that. ‘That’s silly, kids don’t get it as bad as adults’. My wife tried to explain that it’s all inter related; kids are taught by adults, kids have grandparents they see who are vulnerable, etc. Blank look. We’re doomed.

Take a gander at this article: “CPAC Founder Exposed To Virus Patient Insists Trump ‘Scrubbed’ Hands At Event” ^.

Boss Tweet is furiously sanitizing himself (at the direction of his guards?)
but for the rest of the attendees, preparation/prevention is “fake news”. Shows how important the welfare of his sheeple is…

  8. Why am I not surprised? Ghoulish defiance and egotistical stupidity is his hallmark. Of course, he is certain that neither he nor any of his family will get the virus. This is where Karma breaks into a chilling cackle.

It’s called Oppositional Defiance Disorder and it is a mental illness.
Please add Pennsylvania to the list of states with confirmed cases.

Following a discussion here about the dangers of mixing chemicals, I have a PSA for real. DON’T think about disinfecting a litter box with bleach. I absentmindedly thought that would be a good idea for about 30 seconds. Bleach + ammonia = mustard gas.

    Thank You 😉

  12. Slipstream at #5 gives a list of states with the Covid-19 outbreak.

You left out Nebraska, where a number of people are in the national quarantine centre in Omaha, and a voluntary quarantine order went out from our state Department of Health and Human Services for everyone who went to a Special Olympics basketball game after a person there tested positive for the virus.

  13. The Surly Professor says:

maryelle@9: thank you for the ODD term; I’d heard it long ago in the context of elementary school education, but never connected it until now with the current chancre sore in the White House.

There is another ingredient at work here. On top of the common total lack of empathy by Republicans, Trump cannot conceive of anything being harmful or painful unless it happens to him or someone famous who sucks up to him. It’s worse than a lack of recognition of science, it’s a lack of basic humanity. Throw thousands of kids into concentration camps, let them die of preventable diseases, “lose” hundreds of them bureaucratically, and that’s just fine. Say something mean about Baron Trump, and it’s a crime against humanity and must be swiftly punished.
