It appears that Rex Tillerson is firing everybody who knows a wink about foreign policy.
And I’m sure it’s going to come as no shock to you that —

Tillerson and traitor trump do not want diplomacy. All they believe in are nuclear weapons. Tillerson wants oil no one needs. I wonder how he plans on selling radioactive oil. Tillerson fires people who dare to look him in the eye in the halls of the State Dept. The wreckage he has made will take years to repair. But that’s exactly what moron traitor trump wants. Lies, bullying more lies will not make it on the international front. All the traitor trump administration wants is destruction on all levels. White supremacy for the very few and slavery for all the rest. This administration and the Republican Party which is complicit must be stopped.

2When this train wreck known as the Trump Administration attracts reporters and investigators to see the disaster first hand, and they’re told by department heads “move along, nothing to look at here,” it’s the first time they’re being told the truth. Departments are so gutted, especially of intelligent staff, that there really is nothing going on there.
3Can those guys just fire Mueller? Doesn’t anyone care? NO DIPLOMACY! We better get our passports updated. Or will they let us come and go? What about people who want to visit Grandpa in Africa?
4I think Putin and, to an extent, Xi, have suffered a strong aggressive US Department of State in the world thwarting their individual goals of world domination. Gutting the State Department so that Russia, in particular, can exercise unopposed influence in the world is a Putin goal Drumpf appears to support.
I also think Drumpf’s anti-Hilary position seeks to punish the State Department for ever supporting her as SecState.
5The Washington Post has been covering the hollowing out of the State Dept. for months now. It certainly isn’t any kind of secret in my neck of the woods.
And, yes, it will takes years to recover from this–if we ever do. The Europeans and Canadians have seen enough and are joining forces to protect themselves WITHOUT US. The Japanese, South Koreans and other Asian nations are currently in the process of doing the same.
This seems to have been the life-long wet dream for the neo-Cons. I hope they’re happy now.

8Maggie, isn’t the real work done by career civil servants who must pass entrance exams, have requisite schooling, etc.? That should disqualify most Trumpies. As for the leadership, Dotard45 sure took qualified out of the equation.

9Yup, you are correct Jane & PKM! Course, these workhorses are looked down upon as simply paper pushers in charge of incoming and outgoing mail. The Trumpistas and the political pals aren’t the least interested in the peons. For that matter, as far as they are concerned the vast majority of the civil servants can go, too. Why don’t you know you just need only one to turn the lights on and off? What the hell else is there to do anyway in government?
10Maggie, if I had my way, karma would be a very busy lady biting the Dotard45 maladministration in their butts. Let one of their grandchildren or child of a friend lose a passport overseas only to discover there is no one at a nearby American Embassy who can assist them. Things like that.
Meanwhile, am busy e-mail bombing our Senator Heller over the tax reform and unnecessary expenditures. Want answers to why we are paying mega $ to have the Secret Service accompany Dimwit Jr. on his various forays to aid and abet the old dotard in violating the Emoluments Clause at their various foreign properties. If those governments can’t protect the little snowflake, maybe they should reconsider where they do business. At a minimum, stop doing it on our dime.

As far as Exxon, I stopped buying anything from them since the negligent grounding of the Exxon Valdez tanker, decades ago. Except for maybe 2-3 ’emergency’ stops on long trips (frequent for a fmr road warrior IT type), when plans went pau and there was nothing else.
It’s possible that the ‘independent’ fuelers (like my usual HEB or WM pumps) sometimes buy wholesale Exxon, but who knows?
Been scratching my head a bit since this news first appeared and I finally figured out what my he’d was really trying to tell me. The Turn the State Department Into A Wasteland is an order straight from the White House.This is what they wan to do to just about every Executive Department, even Commerce! This shady shoddiness has even extended to the incoming re-up applications from the DACA recipients. For some strange reason, a lot of the applications were “overlooked” at the post office and there was a percentage that allegedly did not arrive by the official deadline. If you believe that I have a beautiful underwater bridge you can buy cheap!
