Defend a Patriot

June 27, 2019 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Folks who have been around here for a while know that there is no fondness between me and former Texas Republican congressman Steve Stockman.  He’s a crook.  Last year he was convicted of 23 felonies and sent off to the pokey, and we are all safer for it.

If you really want to know how I feel about Steve, here’s a list of all the times I’ve written about him.

And, for fun here’s his former campaign headquarters housed in an old motorcycle and spa shop that got shut down for 14 fire code violations.

Well, you’ll be relieved to know that Steve is just a victim of the Deep State and, by gawd, he needs you to save his sorry butt.

Take a look.

Here’s a guy who set up a charity and then stole $1.4 million of the money raised and now … he’s broke.  He needs your money to pay for his appeal.

Y’all, this is so serious that Ted Nugent has jumped on board. Yeah, Ted Nugent. And there’s a picture of Donald Trump with Steve’s wife. And there’s long pleas for money, money, money.  It’s a scam of beauty, my friends.

The ole Deep State is out to get ya.

Thanks to Alfredo over at the Dairy Queen for the heads up.

  1. “Defend a Patriot” … “was been found guilty” … Why are the NSGOP so bad at using the English language?

  2. When I read the link, a quote from the Princess Bride comes to mind:
“You Keep Using That Word, I Do Not Think It Means What You Think It Means”

    Patriot
    Political prisoner
    Corrupt, corruption, corrupt agencies

Steve Stockman, so many words, so few dictionaries.

  3. Looks like Steve is being helped by the best his money can buy:

After four years investigation, four grand juries, and a trial where the truth didn’t surface, Steve:

    • Was been wrongly found guilty on trumped up charges.

  4. Jane & PKM says:

There should be a ‘special’ button on any appeal for money for Steve. For instance, a GoFundMe page for Steve would have a GFY option. Or, the more generic “thoughts and prayers” choice.

Tom@3 “trumped up charges” Would that be the new euphemism in the Age of IQ4.5 for “the rule of law does not apply to any Republicon”? Changing their family name from Drumpf to Trump has its ironic potential.

  5. Better than money, I will send him hopes and prayers.

  6. Sam in Superior says:

Tom Delay and Rick Scarborough have signed letters to Trump appealing for leniency. That alone should add 20 years to his sentence.

  7. I’m not a lawyer but this caught my eye. When you go to the grifter’s web site you will find this little disclaimer on the “Send me your money!!” page (emphasis mine):

“The Stockman Legal Defense Fund is an IRREVOCABLE TRUST with SOLE BENEFICIARIES Steve and/or Patti Stockman. The fund receives gifts from the public that are NOT TAX DEDUCTIBLE and are disbursed to or FOR THE BENEFIT of Beneficiaries…”

Nice. Grifters gotta’ grift. I’m not a lawyer but that sounds like: “It’s my money to do what I damn well please with, suckers!”
