Clean Out Time

December 01, 2020 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

When Trump was first elected, I predicted, “he’s gonna get us all killed.”

He’s been unsuccessful at that so far, but bygawd, you gotta give him credit for trying. And it’s not just Covid.  Oh no, there’s more.

The Justice Department created a new rule that would allow methods – including firing squads and electrocution – “comes as the administration rushes to execute five more prisoners before President Trump’s term ends.”

“Last week, the Justice Department announced that it plans to execute three more inmates on federal death row. If the administration does so, along with two other executions already scheduled, it will have put 13 prisoners to death since July, marking one of the deadliest periods in the history of federal capital punishment since at least 1927.”

Now, I’m just speculating here, but maybe, no probably, Trump wants to make sure there are federal accommodations available for him and his family … and his administration.

Thanks to Star for the heads up.

  1. Nah. He’s just a bully and throwing a finger at us as he exits the premises. He’s certainly not doing for votes at this point.

the toddler-in-chief is still pizzed that the Central Park Five — you know, the innocent ones — never got executed, even after he spent all that (probably Russian) money on the newspaper ad, so he’s gonna make up for it like this. As for Barr’s excuse ….. just a butthole, I guess

According to Snopes on 30 November 2020, Trump/Barr/DoJ shifted and allowed a single drug method of execution, ending “a 17-year hiatus on federal executions. According to statistics gathered by the nonpartisan research nonprofit organization Death Penalty Information Center (DPIC), the DOJ had put to death eight people starting in July 2020. Until then, only three people had been executed by the federal government from 1970 to 2020.” Five more are scheduled for December and January, before the Biden Inauguration.

In addition to putting executions on the calendar, the Trump Sad!-ministration published a rule allowing firing squads, electrocutions, and hangings — if the state in which the sentencing occurred allows the method.

Trump apparently thinks carrying out executions shows just how “tough” he is, how strongly he backs law enforcement, judges, and prisons.
