Let’s talk trade. The Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) mechanism, or why I am against the TPP. Some of you may remember a recent threat by Canada to sues us big $$$ over product branding. Don’t know about you, but I like to know the origin of the food I consume. What the ISDS does is give corporations the power to sue countries, if those corporations don’t like how we treat their products. (sounds a little like Donnie Drumpf, eh?)

4Here’s a good story. It has everything, Republicans, Muslims, Christian pastors, and Houston:
On Monday, a Christian pastor who serves as chaplain for the Harris County GOP tried to stop a Muslim man from serving as a precinct chair because of his religion. “Islam does not have any basis or any foundation,” the pastor, Trebor Gordon, said.
He continued, “Islam and Christianity do not mix.”
One man pointed out that it was against the law to discriminate on the basis of religion, then precinct chair Mike Robertson asked whether Islam is, in fact, a religion. “Can I have a point of information?” Robertson said. “Has there been any factual information provided that Islam is a religion?”
The man in question, Syed Ali, 62, who has been a Republican since the Reagan administration, was tapped to be one of those precinct chairs, before Gordon interrupted with his motion.

Roll Call! How many are expecting their states to flip US Senate and House seats for the Democrats this year? I’m ready to draft a letter inviting Charles and David Koch to stay out of NV. Those old goats are really hosing us this year. Catherine Cortez Masto should be a lock for Harry Reid’s seat, but the other side is running some vile negative ads. Hope those ads affect others as they do me; backfire and translate into votes for Cortez-Masto.

15Chloe Bear, kudos to Maryland. Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake is a Democratic keeper! She’s not running for another term because she’s too busy focusing on overhauling the PD and running Baltimore. That is a rare politician who places her job first. Hope she will give some consideration after whipping Baltimore into shape to lending her talents to Congress.
Steny is great. He knows how to get things done by working with women. Let’s send him a group of women to take on the Freedumb Caucus.
