Well, Donald Trump went to speak to Republicans in Gettysburg.  Yeah.  He decided to go out in a blaze of historic glory.

Donald Trump traveled Saturday to the site of the bloodiest battle of the Civil War, where he suggested that the United States is nearly as divided now as it was then. But instead of laying out his vision for uniting the country, as President Abraham Lincoln once did here, Trump declared that the system is rigged against him, that election results cannot be trusted, that Hillary Clinton should have been barred from running for president, that the media is “corrupt” and that he will sue all of the women who have accused him of sexual assault.

Remember Newt’s Contract With America?  Compared to this, that idea wasn’t all that bad.

As an aside, it just seems kind of weird to me that some damn billionaire tries to claim that the system is rigged.

Donald Trump goes around threatening everybody with lawsuits.  The latest is that “after the election” he’s going to sue all the women who say that he groped them.

Yeah, “after the election” is because those suits will immediately be thrown out of court.  That’s if he can find a lawyer to file them because the bar association takes frivolous lawsuits very seriously. He’s already admitted that he sexually assaults women so there you go.

But, just for fun, the kids over at Gizmoto have a “How Long Since Donald Trump Threatened Someone” Countdown Clock.

This is a thing of beauty. The trial of Bridgegate this morning —-

Bridget Anne Kelly said she was discussing a press conference related to a fire in the Jersey Shore town of Seaside Heights when Christie exploded at her three years ago.

“He had a water bottle in his hand and he said, ‘What the f–k do you think I am? A f—ing game show host,” Kelly said, her voice cracking.

Kelly said he hurled the bottle at her.

“I moved out of the way and it hit my arm,” said a sobbing Kelly.

Well, after this trial, Christie would be very lucky to get a job as a game show host.

The #3 highest Republican in the Kansas State House says she was just trying to criticize Adolph Hitler when she referred to his “profound words.”

Kansas Speaker Pro Tem Peggy Mast took to Facebook to say —

 “Great quote from Hitler in the video. Please listen to it closely. His words are profound! Let’s start using discernment.”

Oops.

Here’s a green light idea – Republican need to stay off social media.  They ain’t worth a damn at it.

Houston is quickly becoming one of the most diverse and progressive cities in America.  Located in Harris County, Houston doesn’t have the odor of bigotry that permeates rural Texas.

At least I thought so.

The current District Attorney in Harris County is a woman named Devon Anderson, who got herself headlines by jailing a mentally ill rape victim for 27 days to force her to testify.  Seriously, she called it “a mistake by our office” even the second time it happened.  By the way, the first victim was assaulted by another inmate while in the jail.

And she loses so much evidence that I’m convinced she lost a bar of soap in a wash cloth.

Needless to say, polls show her opponent is leading by 7 points. Her name is Kim Ogg and I wrote about her in OutSmart Magazine this month.   She’s leading because she’s an excellent candidate.

This morning, a desperate and hateful Devon Anderson went on an internet podcast and said:

“When they get a liberal, pro-choice, Lesbian District Attorney I wonder how many cases they’ll have problems with with her.” -Devon Anderson, Harris County District Attorney.

My first thought:  Kim Ogg is a lesbian?  Good God, somebody better tell her girlfriend of 30 years, Olivia, and their son!

Second thought:  Yes, she is a lesbian, the same way Devon Anderson is a blonde.

Okay, okay, I’m a little upset this morning.  It seems that east Texas congressslug Brian Babbin went on the electric radio to announce that Donald Trump is right – Hillary Clinton is indeed a nasty woman.

But, he explains, he only says that because he is, as he describes himself, “genteel Southerner.”

Who the holy crap uses language like that any more?  Hell, even Alan Colmes made him look like a prissy little woman-hater.

Now, why am I mad at my beloved Texas Democrats?  Because, dammit, there is no Democrat running against this guy.  If he had a Democratic opponent, I could point you there to give him a few dollars or do some phone calling for him.  No, we have ceded that seat.

That crapola has to stop.  Texas Democrats will not be taken seriously as long as we keep hiding under the table whimpering.  Get out from under that table and tell this hateful old man to shuddup.   This summer I am headed out to east Texas to find someone to run against him because I take this nasty woman crap very seriously.  Anybody want to join me?
