There’s a place called Needville, Texas, that’s about as redneck a place there is outside of Yehaw, Texas. It’s right down the road from me and in my county.  And I am ashamed of that.

Needville ISD Superintendent Curtis Rhodes on Tuesday threatened to suspend any student who disrupts schools or walks out to protest current gun laws.

In a letter sent to families and published on schools’ social media sites, Rhodes said students would face a three-day, out-of-school suspension if they joined in growing protests nationwide over the shooting at a Florida high school last week.

And do you want to know why he’s going to suspend them? “A school is a place to learn and grow educationally, emotionally and morally,” Rhodes wrote. You know, except about your rights.  And, apparently, he also thinks it’s a place to get shot and die.

The principal also makes it very clear that “parent notes will not alleviate the discipline.”  Luckily no principal on earth ever said that to me about my children so I didn’t have to punch any of them.

Y’all, if they had that rule when I was in high school, I’d still be in high school.

Then on the other side in Dallas, Texas.

In the wake of last week’s deadly gun rampage in Florida, one of Dallas’ top leaders wants the National Rifle Association to hold its annual convention elsewhere.

Mayor Pro Tem Dwaine Caraway said Monday the NRA would be “met with opposition” if it continued with the event planned for May 4-6, WFAA reported.

And the NRA says —

NRA spokesman Andrew Arulanandam said the group wasn’t changing its plans.

“No politician anywhere can tell the NRA not to come to their city,” he said. “We are already there. Dallas, like every American city and community, is populated by NRA members.”

I guess Dallas needs a high school principal.

For years, I thought the Republican Party opposed sex. I know for a damn fact that they did while Bill Clinton was president.

However, I am coming to realize that it’s only consensual sex that they oppose.  I offer you the next contestant in Republicans-Show-Us-Your-Kinky.  A Rhode Island state senator has entered the contest.

The indictment was unsealed as Senate Minority Whip Nicholas Kettle was arraigned on two counts of extortion in Providence Superior Court. Kettle, of Coventry, is accused of extorting a male page for sex multiple times. He pleaded not guilty and was released on $50,000 personal recognizance.

Oh but it does not stop there.  He was also charged with video voyeurism.

A state police affidavit on the video voyeurism charge released Monday afternoon said Kettle sent naked pictures of his then-girlfriend without her knowledge to a friend in New Hampshire. Zachary Brennan, of Springfield, New Hampshire, then sent back naked pictures of his wife, according to the affidavit.

I mean, considering all the other entries, Nicholas does stand a decent chance in the Small State Big Plans category.

According to a new Politico Magazine report, Kushner showed little interest in maintaining long-standing U.S. alliances, especially in Western Europe.

“He told me, ‘I’m a businessman, and I don’t care about the past. Old allies can be enemies, or enemies can be friends,’ so the past doesn’t count,” one official told the magazine. “I was taken aback. It was frightening.”

He looks creepy, he walks creepy, and he talks creepy.  Yes he’s a guy who has manipulated and outmaneuvered every other prize winning jerk Trump brought into the White House.

Thank God Mueller is investigating him. I want to see him cuffed with Ivanka running after him in her $2,000 shoes and her very tacky purse.

Bob Simonson is the police chief in Amanosa, Iowa, and fancies himself a real man’s man.

The city of Amanosa recently had to pay a $750,000 settlement to a former police officer.

Former Anamosa police officer Amy Ford this week shared some emails sent by Simonson with KCRG in which he made multiple crude and racist comments that included “a joke making fun of Asian accents and likens a sexual position to a Chinese food menu.” According to Ford, the emails were sent to officers in the department as well as to at least one member of Amanosa’s city council.

So there you have the sex part.  The gun part is that he recently shot himself in the foot, literally, with an AR15 slung over his shoulder in that real tough guy kind of way.  It went off and shot his own damn foot.

So now you have both the sex and the gun part.  Here’s the unbelievable part:  he still has a job.  Nope, he has not been fired.
