Run Like the Wind

As we learned this morning, Trump is considering cutting the capital gains tax by adjusting it for inflation.

The Treasury Department is considering a tax cut for the wealthiest Americans through a change that would not need approval from Congress, officials said, a move that would follow a package of tax cuts last year that also benefited the super-rich.

Okay, this is not a tax cut. This is a bribe. Kinda like the bribe he’s giving farmers.

I’m pretty damn sure you’ve already heard that the Koch Brothers are wiggling away from Trump.

The Koch’s are pulling their high dollar donor money and setting the stage for other high dollar donors to do the same. Trump is trying to placate them with tax cuts, while screwing them with tariff war. Same as he did the farmers.

Looks like he’s going to have to raise taxes on people who work two jobs to pay for rent and food. Somebody has to pay for that stinkin’ wall.

And on a lighter note, this is the idiot running our country:

Uh, yeah President Obama has a horrible record on reuniting families. That might – just might – be because he never tore them apart.

Oh Hell, Might As Well

Yeah, but who is Bigfoot endorsing?

Leslie Cockburn, a Democratic congressional nominee in Virginia, accused her Republican opponent, Denver Riggleman, on Sunday of campaigning with white supremacists and being the author of Bigfoot-themed erotica.

Bigfoot porn.

Personally, I really didn’t want to know more than those two words, but apparently Virginians care.

It appears that Riggleman has long been interested in Bigfoot.  Okay, so there’s that. And he posts pictures of a cartoon Bigfoot that I totally refuse to put on the internet machine next to my own name.

And he writes fiction books about Bigfoot. And some of the phrases he uses in those books are damn creepy. And I’m not going to put those here either so quit breathing heavy.

You know that politics are whacked-out when campaigning with white supremacists is the least of your worries.

Thanks to everybody for the heads up.

Look, It’s *Almost* Good News

I ain’t saying that the Koch Brothers found Jesus and some common decency because I think they are way past being saved, but at least we now have the some of the same enemies.

Top officials with the donor network affiliated with billionaire industrialist Charles Koch this weekend sought to distance the network from the Republican Party and President Trump, citing tariff and immigration policies and “divisive” rhetoric out of Washington.

They finally figured out that Trump is increasing the debt faster than a bullet with legs.  Have you ever noticed how Republicans are exuberantly pro-debt when they are in office but swear we’re all going to hell if a Democrat puts fifty cents on the national credit card.

The co-chair of the Koch group lamented that “the divisiveness of this White House is causing long-term damage.”  Ya think?

At least they are finally seeing a little smoke while the rest of us have been sitting in the fire.

Big Talk

Jim Jordan sure talks big while practically an entire university is pointing at him in shame, doesn’t he?

This wouldn’t be a distraction-thing, now would it?

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) said on Sunday that if the Department of Justice doesn’t hand over documents that Congress has requested, he and other lawmakers will force a vote on the impeachment of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

There’s a piece of candy in the irony bag.  Jordan purposefully ignored his oversight duties while a wrestling coach at Ohio State, but now he wants to oversee an investigation into the Republican Party, the NRA, a couple dozen high ranking Republicans, and the president of the United States.

Bring it on, big boy, bring it on.

Here’s The Part Where I Quit Pestering

We made our goal and Glen has put his clothes back on for the video.  I’ll see him later this week.

The donation room is still open and I’ll remind you every now and then that we’re now trying to raise money for post card stamps.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.  You’re the best.

See, that didn’t hardly hurt at all.

The Other Sessions: Pistol Pete

July 29, 2018 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

I wanna talk to you about Dallas Republican Congressfool Pete Sessions this morning.  We call him Pistol Pete because he’s always shooting off his mouth.

Pete’s wife of 28 years finally had it with him.  After putting up with his strip club, skirt chasing ways, she filed for divorce one month after Pete sent this love letter to Allen Stanford.

Just hours after federal agents charged banker Allen Stanford with fleecing investors of $7 billion, the disgraced financier received a message from one of Congress’ most powerful members, Pete Sessions.

“I love you and believe in you,’’ said the e-mail sent on Feb. 17. “If you want my ear/voice — e-mail,’’ it said, signed “Pete.’’

Stanford is serving a 110 year prison sentence.

Upon his divorce, Pete almost immediately married a failed Republican congressional candidate in Florida.  Karen Sessions is 12 years Pete’s junior.

Okay, that’s the juicy stuff, but not all of it.  In today’s Washington Post, you will discover that Donald Trump – who Pete loves almost as much as he loves Allen Stanford – is removing civil service employees and replacing them with his unqualified political friends at an agency that is supposed to oversee foreign aid.

Another appointee is Karen Sessions, a former Verizon Communications executive and municipal official in Winter Park, Fla., who made an unsuccessful run for Congress as a Republican in 2010. In 2012, she married Rep. Pete Sessions (R-Tex.), a Trump supporter. She is vice president of congressional and public affairs.

I love that last line.  Take out the word “and” and there you have enough to keep woman plenty busy.

The financial disclosure form Sessions filed in May says his wife is employed by Sessions Enterprises, LLC (page 13).

The only thing worse than a pig feeding at the public trough is a pig hiding the fact that he is feeding at the public trough.

Thanks to Alfredo over at the dairy Queen for the heads up.
