Politico says House Republicans are shocked, shocked I tell you, that Donald Trump “hijacked” this election.

Oh, they loved it when he introduced the whole scary people caravan thing coming to slice your throat.  Oh, that was just great.  But now they fear, oh dear Lord, that Trump “has gone overboard” on it.

Really now?  Trump going overboard?  Goodness gracious, who ever could have predicted that happening? Usually Trump is so judicious and inclined to know when to stop. He’s just a calm, reasonable man who puts party above self.  I imagine House Republicans are stunned at this recent behavior aberration of going the hell overboard.

So they had Paul Ryan call him and ask him to stress something else.

House Speaker Paul Ryan got President Donald Trump on the phone Sunday for one final plea on behalf of anxious Republicans: Please, please talk up the booming economy in the final hours before Election Day.

But Trump, unsurprisingly, had another issue on his mind. He boasted to Ryan that his focus on immigration has fired up the base, according to a source familiar with the call.

The idea that they expected Trump to change his very nature to benefit them is about $14.98 on the Ten Bucks Worth of Crazy scale.

But there may be some value in all this. After this election they’ll start attacking each other instead of us.

The laying of blame will be a sight to behold.

If you’re anxiously awaiting election results, I have some Texas things to entertain you with.  You people from foreign states have no idea about the mess Republicans have gotten us into.  Here’s a few characters for you to get to know before election night.

Y’all Know Sid Miller?  He’s the Ag Commissioner.

Y’all Know Ken Paxton?  He’s the indicted attorney general.

Y’all Know Dan Patrick? We don’t know what he is.

Donald Trump Jr has been dragging his girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle, around to make stump speeches. Three times now she has said that if we don’t do something about immigration “America is going to look like that bar scene in Star Wars.”

First off, that is grotesque Nazi propaganda and literally dehumanizes immigrants.  Anyone who says such a thing should be condemned for saying it.

Second, though — The cantina is awesome! Why wouldn’t you want that?  It looks like a perfectly cool place to go. I’d go. Han Solo is there.

I’d welcome that – along with taco trucks on every corner and a triple meat liberal Whataburger.

By the way, imagine how beat-up you’d have to be to go to a rally with Donald, Jr. and his girlfriend for political guidance.

So, Karl Rove (shudder) took himself to Twitter to denounce Steve King.

Yeah, I have proof.

That right there makes Karl Rove like the ugly dude who stands next to an even uglier dude to make himself look better, but for genocidal ideologies.

He’s gonna draw the line at Steve King.  Honey, my line is about 120 north of Carl Rove.

Now while you’re thinking about this, please remember that Ted Cruz called Steve King to sympathize with him.  That right there makes Karl Rove a better human being than Ted Cruz.
