I know I owe you all an apology for leaving in a cloud of dust last week without much information.

Bubba and I were rear ended in Austin last Tuesday night.  “Rear ended in Austin” use to mean something else, but now it just means an ambulance trip to Dell Seton Hospital (Hook ‘em) and a week in the icu.  We are both home now, making grunting noises but healing nicely.  Honey, we made it through the 60s so this ain’t no tall wall for a climbing cat.

I’m sorry about the lack of communication about the accident.  As a way of explanation, I want to let you know that there’s a Republican woman in my county who has suddenly decided at age 72 that she is a reporter because she has a Facebook page.  She claims to “investigate” the courthouse.  She is attempting to embarrass my husband and – catch your breath – my 6 year old grandson through this website.  So, I will rarely post anything personal.  Although, I may write more about her later.

I’m still not up to speed so don’t expect much at first.

I just heard from Juanita Jean Herownself, and she and Bubba are home.  She’s getting better every day, but not up for expounding on the floor of the Salon for a few more days.  She and Bubba very much appreciate the support all of you showed them.

To all salon customers, I just got an update from Bubba.  He is improving and feeling better, Juanita Jean is also feeling better, but still pretty banged up.  They hope to be home sometime tomorrow.

Keep those positive thoughts flowing towards Austin.

Juanita Jean asked me to let all of you know that she and Bubba were injured when their car was rear ended last night in Austin.  They are both pretty banged up but she tells me they’ll be OK with some rest and recuperation.  I’ll be minding the Salon until she triumphantly returns.

Please send them positive thoughts and prayers to speed their recovery.
