Louie!

December 28, 2020 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Oh Y’all, oh. oh. oh.

Louie has sued Vice President Mike Pence. In court. Where lawyers hang out. No kidding.

This is all about the Vice President’s ceremonial role on January 6th, consisting of having the Congress count states’ electoral votes and finalize Joe Biden as the winner of the election.

But the Republican lawsuit, which was filed against Pence in his official capacity as vice president, asks a federal judge in Texas to strike down the law as unconstitutional. The GOP plaintiffs go further: They ask the court to grant Pence the authority on Jan. 6 to effectively overturn Trump’s defeat in key battleground states.

Now, not even getting into the constitutionality of this, think about what happens next – if this is the new law, then one party has the power to overturn every election from now to eternity because they’ll just keep appointing themselves after the election.

But, if you want to get into the constitutionality, we can do that.  I’m pretty sure that the constitution does not allow the vice president to overturn an election.  Pretty damn sure.

Thanks to Kyle for the heads up.

Heads Up

Glen arrived in Georgia with two House Mothers who will keep things safe and do the cooking.  They will be stationed in Savannah and are working in conjunction with the Georgia Democratic Party. The kids will start canvassing today.

Making lasagna last night.

Here are some of the kids checking in and getting their official “uniform.”

They have promised an update tonight.

Okay, So Here’s the Deal

This kinda makes you wonder if Trump seriously doubts he’s gonna be inaugurated at the regular date and time.

It used to be that the reservation form for the Trump Hotel in DeeCee looked like this, with the day surrounding the inauguration blanked out:

But over the weekend, it changed to this:  Click here to see the big one.

It opened up. Rooms around the inauguration are still top dollar, but look at the prices around the 6th when Trump is planning his “rally.”

Now I know that this is about as accurate as reading tea leaves, but ya gotta wonder if trying to disrupt congress certifying the election is just another scam to fill his pockets and that he knows he’s not going to be president.

Fun With Guns

December 27, 2020 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

So, let’s bring back an oldie. Fun With Guns.

There’s some rules: (1) the shooter or the victim has to be doing something stoopid, this is often, more than you would suspect, the same person. (2) We take preference for stories from the South because people in the South have the proper tools to be funny – goats, an empty thermos bottle, a trailer of residence, meth, or roller skates. (3) Nobody can die. That’s not funny. We also don’t like loss of limb or digit, unless it’s the shooter and he had it coming. We once allowed a story about a woman shooting herself though the ta-tas because, come to find out, they weren’t her ta-tas to start with.

Today’s story comes out of California so you can bet there’s no goats involved.

The day after Christmas, Gerald Jacinth of Las Vegas, decides to go shoot his brother-in-law in California. Gerald is 75 years old and his victim is 77 years old.  He drives to his brother-in-law’s house, parks across the street, and waits until he comes outside.

Wearing a disguise, Gerald approaches his brother-in-law and tries to hand him a package. The brother-in-law wouldn’t take it. Gerald holds up his bag of presents and shoots his brother-in-law twice. The injuries were non life-threatening. The victim did not recognize his brother-in-law because he was “wearing an over the head mask resembling Donald Trump, white long curly beard and a Santa hat as he made his way up the driveway.”

Well, damn, would you take a special delivery package from Donald Trump Claus?

The police arrived in a minute and since the victim was able to take a picture of Gerald’s car as he drove off, they nabbed him still in the same neighborhood. We don’t know what caused the gunfight, but we are going to add Donald Trump mask to our list of funny tools shooters have.

Start Writing Checks, Dan

Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick shot off his mouth and said that he would pay one million dollars Texas cash money to anyone who found and reported legitimate election fraud.  Back when Trump was coming up empty finding voter fraud, Big Britches Dan made an offer.

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Tuesday he is offering up to $1 million to “incentivize, encourage and reward” people for reports of voter fraud in Texas, even as there’s been no evidence of mass voter fraud and experts say it’s rare.

Well, knock knock, Dan. Pennsylvania Lt. Governor John Fetterman is at the front door with three cases of election fraud and he wants his money.  All of them involving Trumpians.

Patrick said election fraud around the country.  His counterpart in Pennsylvania found it and now wants to collect.

Fetterman keeps reminding people that Dan Patrick is the dude that said people over the age of 65 should be willing to die of Covid to protect the economy. Yeah, and Patrick didn’t die either so he’s not a man of his word.

I hope Fetterman sues him.

Merry Christmas, Senator Loeffler

December 26, 2020 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Here are some really nice people who maxed-out contributions to Senator Loeffler of Georgia.  And she promptly reported them to the ethics commission. But …

She forgot who they were and what they do for a living. Take a look:

Click here to see them big.

Now, you’ll notice that they all have the same last name. Oddly enough, if I just type their last name and put a dot com after it, I get this.

But then, you might not want to disclose contributions from a company that paid millions of dollars in fines for exploiting undocumented immigrants and discriminated against Black American workers.

She [Loeffler] also introduced a bill with Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., in August that would allow judges to hold undocumented immigrants in contempt if they fail to show up to their immigration hearings and give judges the ability to issue warrants for their arrests.

“I will always put American citizens first & hold illegal immigrants accountable,” Loeffler tweeted along with an article about the bill.

And she probably didn’t want to draw attention to a company who discriminated against Black American workers in  … you guessed it, Georgia.

Federal contractor Asplundh Tree Expert Co. has agreed to pay $55,000 in back wages after a routine compliance evaluation by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) found alleged systemic hiring discrimination violations at its Macon, Georgia, facility.

So, the next time Loeffler needs to know where these people work and what they do there, it’s simple. They are professional self-employed hypocritical crooks.  Just like she is.

Thanks to Alfredo over at the Dairy Queen for the heads up.
