Not So Much In Charlotte, North Carolina

July 23, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Well, the Republicans are hitting town in Tampa, Florida.  And the first people to get ready for them?

Strippers.

Strip clubs may not be the most politically correct venue for those attending the Republican National Convention, but that doesn’t mean Tampa’s well-known adult hot spots won’t be ready for the influx of visitors.

One place is bringing in a stripper who looks like former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. There are major renovations taking place. And some nude clubs have already been giving potential customers a taste of the talent online.

“Not only can you see the dancers on the stage and in the dressing room, you can also talk to them in an online chat room,” said Don Kleinhans, owner of the 2001 Odyssey on North Dale Mabry Highway.

It’s good to know that the working bubble dancin’ ladies in their birthday suits will take Republican money and vote Democratic.

No Wonder They Condemned Michele Backmann

July 22, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Well, in case you’re wondering why a few brave Republicans stood up and condemned Michele Bachmann, there may have been something bigger, better, and more likely involved in this deal.

Anti-tax crusader Grover Norquist helped the Muslim Brotherhood infiltrate the U.S. government, according to the report that Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) cited in an attack on top State Department aide Human Abedin.

Bachmann cites a movie produced by the same good folks who brought you Joe McCarthy, called “The Muslim Brotherhood in America: The Enemy Within,” a ten-part video course produced by the Center for Security Policy.

Norquist speaking coyly, "What is this Muslim Brotherhood the newly crazy woman Bachmann speaks of??

Grover coyly asks, "What is this Muslim Brotherhood this newly crazy Bachmann woman speaks of?"

The Muslim Brotherhood was helped in its efforts to achieve information dominance over the George W. Bush administration, thanks to collaboration between a top Muslim Brotherhood operative, Abdurahman Alamoudi, and anti-tax activist Grover Norquist.

In addition to al Qaeda financier Alamoudi, Norquist helped mainstream in the Bush campaign and/or administration five other Muslims with extensive ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

In his capacity as the de facto Muslim gatekeeper in the Office of Public Liaison under senior Bush advisor Karl Rove, and then as an assistant in the personal office of the Secretary of Transportation, Khan had, at a minimum, an opportunity to facilitate the penetration of other Islamists

You screw with Norquist, you end up with a horse’s head in your bed.  And that’s because the other end of the horse is Grover Norquist.

You screw with Norquist AND Rove, you end up with a horse’s and a jackass’ head in your bed.

No, No, Not The Blue Bell. Anything But the Blue Bell.

July 22, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

As you regular visitors know, Blue Bell ice cream is my favorite.  Now I have to give it up.  I just hate that.

Come to find out, the little creamery in Brenham just became a tool of the devil.  They just gave $40,000 to John Boehner’s Leadership PAC.

If you want to drop them a little note and tell them while you feel real bad about it and you’re gonna miss Homemade Peaches and Cream real bad, you’re going to have to switch to Ben & Jerry’s to keep from giving money to stinkers like John Boehner, then I’m here to help.

I’m not going to threaten or get mad, I’m just gonna tell them how oh so very sad I am and how that sad is going to drip all over my friends when I deliver the bad news.  However, if they would like to be fair and keep Texas money in Texas, they could donate $40,000 to the Texas Democratic Party and I could eat Blue Bell again.  Which would make them a whole lot of money because I eat a whole lot of Blue Bell.

Please help me.  I neeeeeed Blue Bell.

It’s Statue Moving Day

July 22, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

I suspect you’ve heard that the statue of Joe Paterno outside the Penn State football stadium has been moved to “an undisclosed location,” apparently with Dick Cheney.

But, a lesser known statue is also being moved.  It has been in New York City for a long time.  The artist, who obviously couldn’t get a date to the prom, named it Civic Virtue.

Even before “Civic Virtue” was unveiled in 1922, there were protests against it. The immense statue, installed in City Hall Park, featured a naked, hulking man representing virtue, standing atop nude female figures, representing vice.

The folks in New York are arguing over where to put the damn thing. Some have suggested the entrance to the cemetery where the artist is buried, but others feel that it, like the artist, should both be displayed underground there.

I dunno, there has to be a good appropriate home for a statue where a man is standing on top of women in triumph with a large, phallic shaped object in his hand.

And I know where that place is.  That sucker belongs right in the smack dab middle of the rotunda at the Texas State Capitol.

I’m good at this appropriate art stuff and there is no better symbol of the Texas Lege than this.

I am told that the statue weighs 22 tons.  I am not in the least concerned about getting it moved to the Capitol.   Debbie Riddle and Leo Berman can just levitate it there on their palpitating thoughts of a transvaginal sonogram.

Why Not? He Buys Everything Else.

July 21, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

It appears that Mitt Romney is outsourcing his Twitter followers.

Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign may be buying up Twitter followers to pad the former Massachusetts governor’s online presence.

@MittRomney has already attracted more than 100,000 new followers on Saturday, far more than his average 1,000 – 6,000 per day, and the new followers “seem to have major trouble with spelling simple English words, have names that sometimes seem to be random assortments of syllables, and have no (or very few) followers themselves”:

Okay, so I have about 4 Twitter followers.  I didn’t buy a single one of them.   At least two of them, I would pay to go away.
