Your Handy Romney Flip Flop Guide

August 13, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Y’all, I tend to get a headache keeping count of all Romney’s flip flops, so I was glad to see that Rolling Stone is doing it for us.

Thanks to Brian for the heads up.

CNN Breaking New – 7 people shot, including police, near Texas A&M.

Yes, what this country needs is more guns.

It appears to be off-campus.  Injuries reported.  Gunman in custody.

Just in case you were wondering where Paul Ryan’s values are …

He donated to the Tom DeLay legal defense fund.

Yeah, he thinks that Tom DeLay is as innocent as Little Red Riding Hood.  Twelve citizens on a Travis County jury disagree and so does the Republican judge who heard the case and sentenced him.

Ring!  Ring!  Hey Paul, Dancing with the Stars on line two in case this whole Vice President thing doesn’t work out.

Thanks to Brian for the heads up.

Thugs. Because They Are Thugs.

August 13, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

The real difference between Republicans and Democrats is the same difference between Rush Limbaugh and Jon Stewart – the difference between guts and gall.

Guts is when you never take on anybody with less money, power, or good looks than you have.

Gall is when that’s all you take on.

Jon Stewart takes on the power boys.  Rush Limbaugh takes on Sandra Fluke.

We have a Republican guy here named Rick Miller who is running for the State Lege who claims to be a former Naval officer and a deacon in the Baptist Church, but he has to keep telling you that because you can’t tell that by his behavior.  He stood and watched, doing nothing, while his fellow Republicans beat up a 70 year old woman.  He did nothing to stop it.  He is a raging coward on top of it all.

They are thugs.  They are bullies.

And that is why they attract people like this guy.

Gregory Peterson is a major TEA Party activist in Utah and  has hosted the Rocky Mountain Conservatives Conference at his lakeside cabin the past three years.  He was a co-chair of a Romney for President fundraiser in 2007.  And he has some other hobbies.

News that a Utah Republican activist is accused of raping four women — two of whom say they were taken to the Heber cabin where the man hosted major political events — caused ripples of unease Thursday throughout the GOP.

Gregory Nathan Peterson has hobnobbed with the likes of Sens. Orrin Hatch and Mike Lee, Gov. Gary Herbert, U.S. Rep. Jason Chaffetz, and candidates such as 4th District congressional contender Mia Love.

But for the past 14 months, the 37-year-old Orem man allegedly has led a double life as a serial date-rapist.

Peterson was charged Wednesday in 3rd District Court in Salt Lake City with 23 felony counts, including rape and kidnapping, and two misdemeanors.

They are thugs and bullies.  It is second nature to them.  And that is why Gregory Peterson was attracted to them.

I am not calling Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan rapists.  I am calling them thugs.

Paul Ryan has never had a real job in his life – he has lived off the government dole from the time his father died and he collected social security until today.  But he wants Grandma off the medicare and social security.  He’s a thug and a bully.

Mitt Romney wants to move all the jelly to the top shelf where it can only be reached by this car elevator.  He has made a fortune off thugging people out of their money.

And that is my Monday Morning soapbox.  I will put it away until next Monday morning when they do something else that hacks me off.

Thanks to Bananas for the heads up.

Yo Paul, Darlin’, About that $6,000 Voucher …

August 12, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Dear Paul,

So, Paul, I wandered over to United Healthcare and asked to see a healthcare plan for a 64 year old woman in Texas who doesn’t smoke.  This one looked okay.  Not one of the fancy ones, mind you.  The fancy ones are far more expensive.

Here’s what I got —  You can click the little one to see the big one.

So, for a policy for a 64 year old woman, I would pay $880.22 a month and that’s an 80/20 plan with a $5,000 deductible.  And that’s IF I don’t have a preexisting condition, which I do.

I’m not saying they would charge more for a 70 year woman, but odds are they would, ya know.

Paul, your $6,000 would get me through July, and cost me $5,000 in deductibles plus 20% on top of that.  I suspect you don’t have a plan for my deductible, right?

So, Paul Honey, here’s my question:  what would you and Ayn Rand have me do in August?   Yeah, right, I won’t be buying any green bananas after July.

So Sweetie, you can take your $6,000 and stick it in your ear.

Love,
Old Juanita

Good Sunday Morning

The meeting finally ended and Texas is In It to Win It.

I had not seen the actual announcement until this morning and, damn y’all, you did not prepare me properly for the sight of the two of them both wearing crisp white shirts.  Now there is coffee all over the nice clean sheets at the Marriott.

Then there was all the white men on Meet the Press eroditely discussing what is best for all of America. Thank God for Rachel Maddow – the sole voice for 50% of America.

The best part of this election will be seeing Romney embrace Ryan while tap dancing away from the Ryan Plan.  No, wait, the best part will be seeing Ryan try to grab headlines from Romney.  Whoa, maybe it will be Ryan throw Grandma under the bus and Romney strap the dog to the top.

I am told that our friend Glen Maxey will have the Vulture / Voucher bumper sticker ready next week.  I’ll get the link for you.
