For about 10 days now I have been getting emails and tips about Bill Nye The Science Guy getting booed in Waco for saying that the moon doesn’t have light of its own but reflected light from the sun, in direct contradiction to Genesis 1:16.

First of all, according to Nye, he didn’t get booed.  One woman took her children and walked out.  Second of all, it happened in 2006.

I’ll have you know that we have become far more sophisticated in Texas since 2006.

If Nye were to say that today in Waco, the Belles of Heaven Republican Women’s Club would have been prepared for his visit with “Hell for Heathens and Science Guys” posters with at least two misspelled words.  The President of Baylor University Ken Starr (yes, that Ken Starr) would have started an investigation of Nye’s hoochy-koochy life.  And Louie Gohment would have arrived with his asparagus aspersion casting machine.

And Billy Hank’s Guns, Bait and Wedding Supplies Convenience Store would have sold far more guns than bait in preparation for Nye’s visit. Rick Perry would have declared it Freedom From Facts Day and the moon wouldn’t even have had the guts to show up that night.

We are ready for  that kind of hocus-pocus science in Texas nowadays.

He has up and decided that lesbians are unfit mothers.  It appears that he has had no help coming to this decision.  You know, like scientific studies or child advocates.  Judge Jack Roach thinks children would be better off living with a convicted felon father who really doesn’t want them than a lesbian mother in a stable relation who adores them.

A Republican Texas Judge has ordered a lesbian couple to live apart or give up custody of their children. According to Think Progress, Judge John Roach of McKinney, Texas has given Page Price 30 days to move out of the home she shares with Carolyn Compton and Compton’s two children from a previous marriage because he does not approve of Compton and Price’s “lifestyle.”

Compton cannot have anyone in her home past 9:00 pm unless she is related to them “by blood or marriage.”  Gay marriage is illegal in Texas.

I guess that means her kids can’t have sleep overs and New Year’s Eve is gonna be mighty lonely for those kids.

Judge Roach calls himself a conservative.  I thought conservatives wanted government out of our lives. I guess that doesn’t apply to the s-e-x part.  They want to stand there and watch that.

Look, the GOP doctored the Benghazi emails before they were leaked from the House Intelligence Committee.

Are Democrats outraged?

No.

Except for California Congressman Adam Schiff, me, and four bloggers in Amarillo.

Schiff, a Congressman from California who sits on the House Intelligence Committee, said in a statement on Saturday that the House Oversight Committee, and Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., who chairs the committee, should provide answers for how the emails leaked in the first place, saying that Congress’s oversight authority “certainly does not justify the leak of falsified information intended to further a politically-driven narrative.”

“A GOP leak of doctored e-mails [became] the basis of GOP talking points,” Schiff told the Washington Post. “That’s a pretty disturbing irony considering the investigation was supposed to be about spin on talking points.”

Somebody does, indeed, need to go to jail and it’s looking more and more to me that it needs to be Darryl Issa.

Issa’s spokesman had an answer for Schiff —

Schiff should check his facts and stop playing politics to the detriment of Benghazi victims’ families who are still seeking answers.”

Dude, I could eat a bowl of alphabet soup and poop a better answer than that.

Since when did Republicans start caring about victim’s families?  I will tell you exactly when –  Since Hillary Clinton did this:

I know that President Obama does not want to appear to be the angry black man, but Honey, I am perfectly willing to be the pissed off old woman from Texas who will chase you down, get you, stuff you, mount you, put you over my fireplace and open my house for the hour tour.

I’ve had just about enough.  I feel a fit coming on but I’d have to calm down first.

Headline news this morning is that President Obama’s approval rating climbed 2% after last week under continual Republican attack.

And in what really is not news, CNN wonders out loud if maybe, just maybe, the Republican have overreacted to the “scandals.”  Ya think, Fox Lite?  Ya think so?

But, nope with a dope, CNN goes to extraordinary lengths to protect the GOP.

But a CNN/ORC International survey released Sunday morning also indicates that congressional Republicans are not overplaying their hand when it comes to their reaction to the three controversies that have consumed the nation’s capital over the past week and a half. And the poll finds that a majority of Americans take all three issues seriously.

Reality to Atlanta.  Reality on line one, Atlanta.

Can’t both things be true at once?  (1) Americans take these issues seriously, and (2) Americans do not believe that the Kenyan socialist in the White House caused these things to happen.

Look, CNN, you can say these things all you want to and try to make the numbers fit your narrative that Obama is a mess, but you are not and cannot selling the narrative.

Here’s the bottom line – the news media wants a scandal.  The American people don’t.  We want jobs and health care.  The Republicans standing in the way of American growth is the real scandal.

Like the majority of my fellow Americans, I stand with my President.

Well hell, they’re spreading.

I told you that whatever Ted, Louie and Steve has is contagious, didn’t I?  But did you believe me?  No you did not.  And don’t tell me it’s some kind of cross-species anomaly.  It ain’t.  There’s no difference between ants and Ted Cruz and you know it.

According to researchers at The University of Texas at Austin, invasive “crazy ants” are slowly displacing fire ants in the southeastern United States. These “Tawny Crazy Ants” have a peculiar predilection toward electronics as well.

“They nest in electronics and create short circuits, as they create a contact bridge between two points when they get electrocuted they release an alarm pheromone,” says UT research assistant Edward LeBrun.

“The other ants are attracted to the chemicals that other ants give off,” he adds. At this point, more ants arrive and create a larger nest.

Which completely explains the whole Tea Party thing.

And there’s a warning:   “The ants should be contained where you find them and then exterminated. They thrive on human movement.”

Everybody be still, dammit, and stomp them out.
