This came up on MoJoe this morning, where the regulars were laughing about an analogy brought up a couple of years ago by John Mulaney on Colbert.  He describes Trump in the WH house as being like a horse loose in a hospital.  It’s hilarious.

US District Judge Edgardo Ramos has just ruled that Deutsche Bank can turn over Trump’s personal financial records to Congress.  Trump’s lawyers had argued that the subpoenas had no “legislative purpose” which is the latest bullshit claim to stonewall the House and obstruct justice.  Judge Ramos said no to that.  It’s not a good week for His Orangeness.

Trump lost an effort to conceal his tax returns from Congress today in federal court.  U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta refused to issue an injunction to delay the order for Steve Mnuchin to release the returns, so Trump’s lawyers ran across the street to appeal that decision to the DC Circuit which hears these kinds of appeals.  I’ll give you one guess who is in charge of the DC Circuit.  It is…wait for it…Merrick Garland, the judge that Turtleneck McConnell unconstitutionally denied a hearing or vote on his nomination to the Supreme Court.

Karma is a bitch.

OK, this one is rich.  Trump’s latest excuse about not releasing his tax returns?  He’s being audited.  That’s right, that’s not new; his new reason is that he’s being audited because of his strong Christian faith and that the IRS is biased against Christians.  That’s right – he’s being audited because he’s Mr. Super Duper Christian now.

Jesus.  Literally.

OK, kids, here’s something you can actively do to help get our country back – silence Trump’s continuous stream of bile and hate on social media.  The Women’s March has started a campaign to get 200,000 signatures on a petition that they can present to Twitter during their annual meeting tomorrow, demanding that the platform suspend Trump’s account for his repeated violation of it’s terms of service by inciting hate and violence against all those he doesn’t like.

Think about it – if Twitter and Facebook would just cut off his accounts, Trump would be forced to communicate like all other president’s in US history, by talking to the press and speaking from the WH in official form, not Tweeting from the toilet during one of his rampages.  Think of how much more peaceful life would be for millions of Americans if we could just silence the son of a bitch on social media.
