I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
Trump wants to take us even further back in time, before television, before radio. Maybe Western Union can send out reports by Morse Code on the telegraph?
1I say no reporters, no television cameras.
2It would sure be a shame for their livefeed to have problems. 🙂

– Storm coming up the coast; signs and portents.
5– No balloon dump, get in, accept it, get out.
– Constant testing caught a positive, get his butt
up to the Mayo Clinic.
– Some worrisome news item re: scandal, finance,
foreign exposé, get in, grab the nom, get out .
God knows transparency takes up sooooo much space.
6What’s with the crown logo? Are they planning a coronation?
7Is he maybe worried about a contested convention? Maybe there are rumors that the GOP wants to dump him as its 2020 candidate.
8Damn, folks, don’t even need a convention UNLESS YOU’RE GOING TO NOMINATE SOMEONE ELSE!
Likely choices include Joel Olsteen and Vlad Putin, but there are doubtless many, many others.
9Yeah, I’d be too embarrassed for anybody to see it if I were them.
10Because, Lord knows, there’s no such thing as ‘pool reporting’ where one camera and one reporter go in and share the feed with everyone else in the media outside.

12The Orange Ego can’t stand the idea of people seeing a convention with only a couple hundred delegates, nosirree. How embarrassing.
If he can’t have the adoring crowds of thousands cheering him and the big balloon drop, then screw it. He isn’t going to let the media get away with putting out pics of an itty bitty business crowd that just wants to complete the legal requirements for nomination and get the hell out of there.
Cooper better hope trump loses. Otherwise, I’m sure he will be at the top of the list of They Who Must Be Punished in the next term.
13I look at it this way:. He gets no free publicity, we don’t have to listen to him or see his ugly mug on the news, and he is back in North Carolina looking like the whipped dog he is. He wanted a full open convention with 20K+ in attendance and now all he gets is a small closed venue for around 350 with no exposure. And the cherry on top, is that he did this to himself.
14I don’t think that will stop pictures and reports from getting out. There are so many creative people out there who like a challenge.

16M @ 7: you’re right, that is something no Democratic operative would let a candidate get within sniffing distance of. On the other hand, why have a coronation when the Senate has already crowned him Above the Law?
Pool reporting could be done. But we all know the pool reporter would have to come from ONA, and the camera operator from Fox News.
Still, it would be great to get some clandestine recordings of the event. You know they’ll really let their hair down, thinking no adults are listening. Plus the video of them goose-stepping around, giving the Seig Heil to Trump on each pass, would be good fun for the remaining sane people in the US.
17I’m with Papa – they’re tone deaf as to the media exposure they could get. There will be lots of lies coming out on the official releases, but I’m sure somebody is going to be in there to do some surreptitious recording.

22This is the year of sacrifice for the GOP. They are planning on sacrificing goats, first born and virgins.

I’m sure Alex Jones, Sean InSanity, Rush Limbaugh and Tucker Carlson will be there in the same skybox as Mike Flynn and Roger Stoned. Probably Billy Barrf will be with them.
