after presser, source familiar with the president’s health tells White House pool: “The president’s vitals over the last 24 hours were very concerning and the next 48 hours will be critical in terms of his care. We’re still not on a clear path to a full recovery.”

And just now a report that even though his doctors gave a more or less rosy report this morning, others with knowledge of his condition say that his symptoms have been very concerning since yesterday. Who knows the truth with anyone involved in this administration.
Besides the diagnosis on Wednesday, they knew about Hope Hicks earlier and Trumpf was having some symptoms yet they exposed many at the debate including Joe Biden. Transparency and honesty are foreign concepts to them.

    “I really don’t care, do u?”

While seriously NOT caring about Donnie, his maladministration and the sycophant brigade led by Moscow Mitch, it is paramount that Speaker Pelosi along with House and Senate Democrats continue to practice prescribed safety measures and up their vigilance toward those who do otherwise. Those with team Biden/Harris should also continue to be safe as they have been role models for what’s needed.

BTW Moscow Mitch, essential business means working for “we the people” not ramming through more of Donnie’s agenda. You seriously might want to consider corona virus relief ahead of that shrew’s SCROTUS nomination. Who knows Mitch, but 30 days may be enough time for Kentucky voters to catch a case of the clues which would not bode well for your political future.

  4. Tphoid Trump needs to be locked in an isolation wardso he can’t infect others.

  5. typhoid. Can’t get all fingers organized…

  6. I’m shocked, shocked, I tell you.

  7. So if someone dies as a result of close contact with him while he KNEW he had it? Probably the same result as him shooting someone in broad daylight in Times Square.

    7
  8. It makes sense that Trump knew before Thursday night. There’s no way he would admit having it until he absolutely had to. He was still hoping it would “magically” go away.

  9. plus you need to factor in the time between taking the test and knowing the results

I’m sure all those old, wealthy Republican donors will be very happy to have s souvenir of Trump’s visit…

  11. Of course he went to Bedminster – his club can’t afford to lose the income!
As he has made clear, his only reason for any measures against spreading the virus is to protect his own health, so why worry about giving it to other people?

I wonder, at that event, how many GOP Senators were infected and if Moscow Mitch will have enough to vote on his majesty’s justice. They can do Zoom for the committee but they have to vote in person with the whole Senate together.

weakgrip @9: my understanding is that the tests they’ve been taking are the quick-results kind, about 15 minutes turn-around. The ones that are known for having many false negatives, clearing people who are in fact infected.

But this is not my area of expertise.

    Grandma Ada @12

The precedent thus far is all Circuit court judges have had “in person” Judiciary committee hearings. There would be substantial complaint if they tried to shift for a Supreme Court justice.

So far, there are 3 Republicans with announced positive tests: Lee & Tillis are on Judiciary; and Ron Johnson is not.

there is one Republican who said he had a positive test, but then said he said that mistakenly, and he actually was negative — Rick Scott of Floriduh.

There are three Republican Senators self-isolating because of exposure: Cruz (on Judiciary), Sens. James Lankford (R-Okla.) and Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) are also now quarantining.

Hawley said he would be “tested on Saturday after attending Barrett’s ceremony, though his office said doctors did not recommend a quarantine.”

Contact tracing is going to be an on-going delight.

How dare he! I know the sob is broke but damn!

  16. #13 The test with the fast results and 30% false negatives is Abbott ID Now, per Dr Vin Gupta on MSNBC. This may be what the WH has been using. I also heard not everyone who went to the Barrett event was tested even though the WH said they were.
