Bless His Heart
Bless Mitch McConnell’s little tiny withered heart. He thinks he’s gonna run things in the next senate.
Hummmm … should we call him the Minority Leader or the Loser Leader?
When asked about Biden’s cabinet picks, McConnell said …
“They aren’t all going to pass on a voice vote, and they aren’t all going to make it, but I will put them on the floor.”
Somebody tap him on the shoulder and remind him that it may not be his choice.
For those of you who so generously donated to our Send a Kid to Georgia program, Glen just let me know that they are working hand-in-hand with the Georgia Democratic Party and have been assigned Savannah and Tybee Island. Glen is going with them to make sure everybody is being safe.
They have three large Air B&Bs in a row so everybody has their own bedroom, and some very kind person donated 500 top quality masks for our top quality kids. Two Democratic women are going along to cook the food you helped pay for – they will have breakfast and a late dinner at home so they can eat fast food for lunch.
Glen has promised us a YouTube or a video at least every other day. They will arrive on December 26 and start work immediately.
Thank you once again.
When I lived in Georgia, the way to get elected was to hand out ax handles to racists. I like this new way better.
1I think Beto came so close to winning because he got out there and saw people – that’s the only way to get Dems. To make the effort. I wish those kids good luck and Warnock and Ossoff too!
2Mitch better spend some time reading the Constitution as it might come back and bite him right where his brains are!
“According to Article I, Section 3, Clause 4 of the Constitution, the Vice President is also the President of the Senate. The Majority Leader is not a position that exists anywhere in the Constitution. The reason that the Majority Leader has near-dictatorial powers to control floor votes is because of a tradition that dates back to 1937. The tradition is that the Vice President gives the floor leaders priority recognition. Most notably, this is not a rule in the Senate.”
“As President of the Senate, Vice President Harris could give any senator priority recognition. That senator could then decide on all legislation that is brought before the entire Senate. Even with a minority in the Senate, Vice President Harris could simply give Chuck Schumer priority recognition. He could decide what is voted on and what isn’t.”

3I plan on donating my “windfall” from the government, a 50-50 split between Ossoff and Warnock. That will be the best $600 the government has ever spent, and it’ll make me damned happy.
4That would sure annoy Moscoe Mitch…love to see it happen.
5Oh, gosh, would I ever love to see Kamala take back control of the Senate…
6Given Moscow Mitch’s unceasing efforts to undermine the traditions of the Senate when it benefited him and the Republicans, any whine from him about VP Harris’s ending that particular tradition should be met with a collective F’ you from the Democrats and a reminder that what goes around, comes around. Or, for the more Biblically minded, “sow the wind, reap the whirlwind”.
I wonder how long he would remain Majority Leader if VP Harris takes back the Constitutional authority vested in her as Veep? I doubt he has many friends amongst the Repub Senators. I could see them turning on him if he loses the current power vested in the Majority Leader position.
Were this to happen, my fantasy would be that the Senate would expel him for his many misdeeds. All the Dems and 18 or so Republicans would be enough… and the Governor of Kentucky is a Democrat. Just sayin’.
