Beto

August 12, 2019 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

From the Houston Chronicle.

So Beto, if you’re listening: Come home. Drop out of the race for president and come back to Texas to run for senator. The chances of winning the race you’re in now are vanishingly small. And Texas needs you.

We just don’t have a strong candidate for Senate in Texas.  Beto powered-up can win Texas.

One more call for Beto to come home, and he’ll be dreaming about Lassie. But that’s ok, Beto. Your future and our future need you to do this.

  2. There is no question that Beto is needed in Texas. If he is concerned about helping the rest of the country, he should be reminded that taking away McTurtle’s power will do that. It isn’t a joke to say our future depends on McTurtle being demoted from throttling up partisan hacks to federal courts, and throttling dead legislation to protect our elections and do something besides watching the mass murder of the week.

Beto, if you want to serve El Paso and the rest of the country, take the Senate…

I’ve been saying for quite awhile that it’s more important to retake the Senate than the White House. Without a complicate Congress to watch his back, tRump is a sitting duck.

Beto, I supported you wholeheartedly against Cruz. I will gladly do the same against Cornyn. But you’ve not got a chance in the presidential primaries. Drop that idea, and run as hard as you can against Cornyn!

    GO BETO!

  4. I no longer live in Texas, but would still love to see Beto oust Cornyn. He MUST clean up his language in public.

  5. @ linda #4: Why? tRump’s language is horrendous and they elected him President. I agree that constantly dropping the F bomb is a little much, though

  6. I read the article a few minutes ago, took a look at the comments, concluded that I had nothing to add and moved on.

Then I opened my email and this — from Americans for Tax Fairness — jumped out at me:
“Led by SEN. TED CRUZ (R-TX), 21 U.S. Senators are urging Trump’s Treasury Department to adopt a harmful proposal that would cost up to $200 billion and almost exclusively benefit the very richest Americans.”

So, I guess I have something to add after all. RUN FOR THE SENATE, BETO! DO IT NOW!

I’d like either Beto or MJ Hegar to bump off our current senior Senator Cornyn in 2020.

I think Beto is hoping for selection as VP to the Democratic Prez primary winner, which is very unlikely to be him.
Beto and fellow Texan Joaquin Castro, imo, do have pretty good chances as the Dem VP selection of the eventual primary winner. Given their ‘Texas balance factor’, general popularity, and appeal to the ‘Hispanic’ voter cohort.

The cynic in me thinks that Beto will hang around the Prez primary until one of the frontrunners clinches it AND selects someone else for their VP.
That would be too late to be in the Dem Senate primary.
But maybe he could run/file for both positions? Anybody know?

  8. It is obvious from I have heard Beto say since the Walmart massacre that he really does know where he should be. He knows the blood letting needs to stop.

I was also impressed with Candidate Yang who actually shed real, honest tears over the death of one child while his brother watched him die.

Not impressed with the Golden Gibbon beaming over the surviving child of one of the Walmart victims.

  9. Senate, Senate, Senate, Senate, Senate, Senate, Senate, Senate, Senate, Senate, Senate, Senate, Senate, Senate, Senate, Senate, Senate, Senate, Senate, Senate, Senate, Senate, Senate, Senate, SENATE. Yes, Beto. Cornyn is vulnerable.
