Bad Gumbo
Last weekend the Louisiana Republican State Central Committee, the elected body that controls the internal governance of the state party, went all Mardi Gras on Mitt Romney’s ass.
They passed a censure resolution saying that Mitt Romney was being mean to poor, defenseless, picked-on Donald Trump. Yeah, the same Louisiana Republican Party who refused to censure David Duke.
Now here’s the cup of crazy in the gumbo: the resolution was written before Romney voted for impeaching Trump. If they’d known he was going to do that, I suspect they’d replace language like …
As US Senator, Romney has continued to deliver belligerent statements and comments about President Trump while largely ignoring far more egregious conduct and obnoxious rhetoric by Democratic members of Congress and presidential aspirants
with, “he’s a butt face.” Oh, give me a break, they are only about 6 people in all of Louisiana who know what egregious, rhetoric or belligerent even mean, and exactly none of them were at the Republican convention.
It passed with a voice vote. They were drunk and showing people their ta-tas.
“Oh, give me a break, they are only about 6 people in all of Louisiana who know what egregious, rhetoric or belligerent even mean, and exactly none of them were at the Republican convention.”
Ms. Juanita Jean Herownself, it’s a small world. I happened to have met all 6 of those people when I was in the Air Force and I can verify they were not at the Republicon convention. Mostly because they are intelligent, and maybe a little because as perceived PsOC they would not have been welcome.
1“They were drunk and showing people their ta-tas.” Forget it, Jake. It’s Louisiana.
Meanwhile ICYMI, Il Douche was up here in NH last night, proudly making clear that a) he knows something famous once happened in Concord, b) he doesn’t really know what, but c) he thinks it was Concord NH, not Concord Mass. That puts him a notch below Michelle Bachman on the stupidity scale; four years ago she came up here and *did* (sorta) know what happened in Concord (something something shot around the world), but also thought it was the one in NH not in Mass.
“Below Michelle Bachman on the stupidity scale.” We are well and truly fkd. But yeah, Mitt Romney is the bad guy here.
2But it’s ok if they got beads – right?
3Not at all surprised.
4What ever happened to David Duke? Has he gone on to Hypocrite Heaven? Too bad! Trump would have given Duke the Congressional Medal of Honor.
5Louisiana – lowest literacy rate in the US; highest percentage vote for Trump. Coincidence??? Hell No.
6Old Mayfly, David Duke is still alive and kicking. However, as a convicted felon he has seen a quantity of “charm” go out of his life. Well, that’s karma for ya.
7I have wondered about that “illiteracy” ratio in LA myself over the years. The state has plenty of colleges and such. Have since learned that for a long time at least half of the graduates do not stay in state. They fly off somewhere else where the pickings are better. I know two out of three brothers who did exactly that. So there you have your ratio. Too bad. LSU expects a lot of its applicants and even has a completely separate science campus. Could there be some tinkering with the ballot boxes after the polls close? Say it ain’t so!
8maggie:
9I’m proud to know someone teaching at LSU. And if half of the graduates migrate, they’re leaving with a better chance in the world than a lot of other state’s Universities.
