I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.

As every southerner knows, “Bless his heart” is code for “eff him.” Certainly, those in the auditorium knew it. š
As for Bel Edward’s though — he gave himself away. He’s obviously a native southerner but he is not a native Louisianan. The name of the state is not pronounced, “Louisiana.” It’s pronounced, “Loosiana,” everyone knows that. At least everyone who was born there does.
Just like “New Orleans” is pronounced “Nawlans.” Because it just is.

Sitting from within Cuellar’s district, I doubt that his Laredo machine can be beaten, but it will be an interesting time. It’s geographically a huge district, ~300x75miles [80+% Hispanic/15% Anglo/4% Black(imo seems high)], but much of its’ population is concentrated in the border town of Cuellarville…errmm…Laredo [98% Hispanic; sometimes worked there, very much a minority…].

3Well…. Iām glad Edwards won. After all, I voted for him despite my dislike of his conservadem leanings. He was, by far, the better of the two candidates. Now Iāve got to find out if the snacilbuper manage to elect enough of their own kind in the legislature to override any vetos he should issue. I canāt remember where but there was one prediction I read that forecast that possibility. Wish us luck.
