Another One Bites The Dust
Texas Republican congressfool Mike Conaway, representing the Midland / Odessa area, is joining the Republicans chickening out of re-election.
Conaway sit on the House Intelligence Committee and is credited with halting any investigation of Trump’s relationship to financial dealings with Russia.
His seat is probably the most Republican in Texas. But the rats jumping the ship can’t be a good thing for Republicans.
The Republicons have a problem. Their current crop of resigning rats have left no miserable ground for the bottom feeders from the failed Sarah Palin/Tea Bag morons. The problem and challenge for Democrats is to run real Democrats of the progressive persuasion to fill the void and win those seats.
Example. Democrats do not need and should not allow any Con on the life raft to the future like Ben Sasse or any other Con who seeks a survival they do not deserve. Even the never trumpers who are neither Mormon or misogynist are no better than Kim Davis, the st00pid clerk who failed to miss the reregistration drive from Dixiecrat to Con I would never have a beer with Justin Amash, he’s not welcome at my house for dinner, and I sure as hell do NOT want him in government no matter what jacket he’s ready to wear to preserve his sorry ass and a$$ets.
1Alas, I’m not optimistic about the voters in Midland and Odessa. That was my home territory back when George HW and Tom Craddick were doing their dirty business, and they don’t appear to have gotten any smarter since then.
The most egregious example right now, IMO, is that Midland STILL have a high school named in honor of Robert E Lee. They also have an African-American superintendent of schools, who allows that they have more important things to deal with than a school’s name. I read that as “when they hired me, they told me if I even mentioned it, they would fire my ass on the spot”.
