Another Day And Another Republican Fun With Greed

February 13, 2020 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Michigan Republican Representative John Moolenaar spent $22,839 from his leadership PAC on fun and games in Colorado.

The vast majority of the money went to the Four Seasons Hotel in Vail, Colorado, some snowmobiling, and assorted other stuff that doesn’t help him get elected.

His PAC is named: Together United for Liberty, Integrity and Prosperity PAC.  I thought that was a rather strange arrangement of words so I looked at it again. It spells out TULIP. Okay, why tulip?  Why would somebody go to all the trouble unless it meant something?

It does.  He represents a district where the Holland, Michigan, Tulip Festival is held.

See, that’s just not right.  You name your political money-gathering tool after a big festival they’ve been holding for 90 years and then you spend that money illegally on pleasure for yourself.

That’s not a good thing.  That’s a damn shameful thing.

  1. Yes it is, but it is so quintessentially Republican. One would be almost disappointed if something like that wasn’t periodically in the news

  2. Given that everything with Republicons is IOKIYAR, makes a person wonder why Aaron Schock was their token sacrifice to marginal ethics. Maybe he should apply to Donnie* for a pardon. Dawg knows he (Schock) was a mere babe at Republicon style grifting. Maybe that was his crime – he didn’t take enough.

  3. Michigan, where some of my ancestors are from, has a large number of Dutch descendants (but not me). TULIP is a common acronym in Michigan for lots of things. That makes this PAC title all the more sleaze-worthy.

Ooh, sharing this tidbit with my friends in next door Shiawassee County who are working to defeat Moldynaar, as we call him.
