And The Hits Just Keep On Coming

August 25, 2014 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

And you guys thought Texas and Arizona had cornered the market on crazy politicians.

No so.  Welcome to Rocky Mountain Highs.

Colorado House District 15’s Republican nominee, Gordon “Dr. Chaps” Klingenschmitt takes the homophobic cake. Speaking about Rep. Jared Polis, a Democrat.

The open persecution of Christians is underway. Democrats like Polis want to bankrupt Christians who refuse to worship and endorse his sodomy. Next he’ll join ISIS in beheading Christians, but not just in Syria, right here in America.

Golly gee, ya think maybe he’s carried that just a bit too far?  Just a little?

Thanks to Larry for the heads up.

  1. Maybe Gordie’s been reading the ugly parts of the Old Testament a little too intensively. We neither “worship sodomy” nor behead people here. Way to put the “mental” in fundamentalism.

That or slack off on the magic shrooms, dude.

Anybody notice if he was frothing visibly when he said this?

    1
  2. Why does it not surprise me that this loon is from Colorado Springs?

  3. OldMayfly says:

A sane Democratic nominee is running against Klingenschmitt that sounds like persecution to me.

Is that fair? Is that right? Don’t we have some nut to run against K to make the contest more even?

I guess not. The Repubs have pretty much cornered the market on nuts.

    3
  4. It’s amazing that any human being would have this reaction to Jim Foley’s death rather than outright horror. The other amazing thing is that this guy can’t see that he and ISIS are two heads of the same coin.

    4
  5. Wait, wait, I think I lost track after “Dr. Chaps” first sentence.
    Now, who is persecuting who?

  6. Colorado was generally conservative (small ‘c’) and the rural areas still are. I have no problem with that – the conservatism of farmers/ranchers is tempered by their social conscience and sense of community.

The trouble began when the Conservatives (big ‘C’) moved in, mostly to Colorado Springs and Denver. They have no social conscience or sense of any community beyond their like-mided neocon fundamentalists. Then wholesale development made it worse by reducing the resources and headcount in rural areas. It’s gotten crazy since I left 50+ years ago and I keep urging the rest of my family to escape.

(I remember Aspen before it ever saw a ski course and Crested Butte when it was a coal-mining town instead of the ‘work-free drug place’ of today).

  7. So, he’s a man who thinks that “Obamacare causes cancer,” that the Bible commands people to own guns in order to “defend themselves against left wing crazies,” and that the FCC is allowing demonic spirits to “molest and visually rape your children” – See more at: http://coloradopols.com/diary/61781/dr-chaps-jared-polis-wants-to-behead-americas-christians#sthash.RFmvFFIv.dpuf

BUT he was less offensive than the other GOP candidate, Dave Williams, who hates gays but thinks child molesters are A-OK. Just wow.

  8. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Klingenschmitt, you Krazy KKKristian, there is no war on you or your ilk. Stand down, little frightened brother. Please don’t let your feathers be ruffled by the like of the Koch suckers, Hannity, O’Reilly and any of the other Flux Noise paid fluffers.

War on Christmas? Really? Anyone light up a Christmas tree on your lawn or the lawn of anyone you know? Are your daughters being force fed birth control, hass your wife ben taken to a forced abortion, and has your son or nephew been take at gunpoint into a same sex marriage?

Speaking of lighting, history shows many of your lovely crosses have been lighted on the lawns of Catholics, Jews and people of color as an act of intimidation.

Historically, Gordon, you pretty much fail at playing your false victim card. Please, go in peace my brother and seek the truth, as it will set you free. Or, possibly consult your physician to increase your medication.

I think these Republicans have the “hyperbole” knob cranked all the way up. As my daddy used to say: “If I’ve told you once, I’ve told you a million times not to exaggerate.”

they might grow up to be ted cruze. the government shut down was payback for the bay of pigs. just ask ted.

  11. Polite Kool Marxist says:

    W. C. Peterson, your Daddy was a good man and raised you well. But there is a huge gap between the sweet enthusiastic imagination of a child and the flat out cra cra crazy of the GOP/Tea Party base.

The Dominionists are a certifiable bunch of crazies. Having missed their predicted ride on Haley’s Comet, euphoria at Jonestown and any number of their space nut shuttles, they want to eradicate democracy in America, displace the Palestinian and Jewish people in Israel for their final rapture.

For real, these nut jobs want the end of the world for their fictional rapture. Sadly Freedom of Religion has met ‘time to take your meds.’ On an ironically sad parallel, they are no different than jihad extremists.

Most reliable psychiatrists would tell us, “urge to kill or die” is time for commitment and medication.

  12. I made the mistake of clicking on the link and, to my horror, saw a disturbing image which I will not soon forget. This guy not only sounds like a wACKO,

    12
  13. HE LOOKS THE PART TOO!

  14. Craig Waters says:

    Dear Miss Juanita,

I’m struggling to make this suitable for Mamma:

    1. He is named after leather pants that open in the back.
    2. Just look at him; it’s a matter of weeks before a man-for-hire outs him to the public.

    14
  15. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Oh wow! There’s no explanation for it that other than some in an allegedly Christian nation are imploding with guilt. Without a doubt, Klingenschmitt and Pastor Michael V. Williams were not in Ferguson, MO today spreading Christian goodwill, comforting the bereaved family and the community.

Apparently Pastor Mikey was too busy pawing through OT Leviticus to comfort his flock.

“And it decrees that the “practice of homosexuality in the United States of America and in all its territories and possessions, and in all its States, Counties and Cities shall be a felony punishable by ten years in prison at hard labor.”

    http://theimmoralminority.blogspot.com/2014/08/conservative-pastor-calls-for.html

At times, I wish I believed in Heaven and Hell. Sure would be a comfort to now there was a special place for Gordo and Mikey.

    15
  16. Whenever I am confronted by such religious hatred, I am reminded of Russell Saunders comment on the death of Fred Phelps:

“The god of his imagining was a demon of bile. . . . If there is a judgment that awaits him, let his loved ones hope it is before a judge more merciful than the one he worshiped.”

    16
  17. Marcia in CO says:

PKM … Oh, I truly believe there is a very “special” place for the likes of Gordo and Mikey.

    @Mark J … Amen to that quote!!

I keep telling you folks that the crazies have truly invaded Colorado … I do not go out at night for fear of … the nut jobs and the lunatic fringe Repukes in this town. It is downright scary!!

  18. Susan (the Neon Nurse) Crites says:

Just taking a moment to share the additional info that Jared is a really sweet guy in real life. If we had more politicians like him, politics would be a lot more fun…in a GOOD way!

    18
  19. Marge Wood says:

I read the whole thing. I didn’t see any new words but I don’t know what he said. Never mind. I don’t want ugly graphics in my mind all night.

    19
  20. I’m getting really sick and tired of lunatics calling us every vile name they can think of and wanting to kill us in whatever way they deem necessary. Can you even imagine what would happen to a gay person who called for the same punishment of his ilk? It wouldn’t be pretty, for sure. It’s time this damn nonsense stopped. Enough already!

    20
  21. Wow. I wish Polis lived in Texas and was running in such a way I could vote for him. Klingenschmied on the other hand I wished lived in Hell. What a nasty little fellow. WaPost has a piece on him, I presume the same fellow at least,
    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/09/14/AR2006091401544.html
    Nasty little fellow.

    21
  22. @OldMayfly:
You have successfully reduced the election process to fit into a sound bite from a 1980s commercial.
“Sometimes you feel like a nut. Sometimes you don’t. Tea Party got nuts. Dems don’t.”

    22
  23. It’s a little mean to say it, but the notion of beheading Gordon “Dr. Chaps” Klingenschmitt has some appeal. The problem is that beheading usually kills by separating the brain from the rest of the body and I’m not sure that would slow down Klingenschmitt. He is already functioning without a brain.

    23
  24. That photo of K-whateverandIcan’tspellit certain makes him look like a movie villain–the Evil Dr. Chaps about to have Rays of Awful coming out his clawed fingers.

    24
  25. Once upon a time, guys like this were kept in the attic and never spoken of by the family within the family or anywhere else. They were recognized as just plain dangerously insane even before there was a definition of insanity. Letting them out in public to have their say never was a good idea. That they are an ever flourishing crop within the Repunkicans is very telling. The Repunks, even under their subsidiary brand of Pea Tardy, can’t muster anything better. My God, what a sad, sad shame. And no, Repunks, you can’t put them in office under the rubric of “hire the handicapped.”

    25
  26. Marcia in CO: Oh, I truly believe there is a very “special” place for the likes of Gordo and Mikey.

There was, but Reagan shut most of them down and put the residents on the streets and into politics.

    26
  27. My opinion: There are modern day “Christian” types that would give any lion ptomaine poisioning.
