Someone asked me how the dickens the Democrats in Harris County (think Houston) managed to win every election last November.
The simple answer: they had help.
The Harris County GOP celebrated Holocaust Remembrance Day by taking to Twitter and blaming it on the left.
Leftism kills.
Yeah, the chairman of the Harris County GOP explained that “The Nazis identified themselves as National Socialists. The name of the party was the National Socialist Workers party.”
Yeah, they could have called themselves ducks, but that make them so. They were rightwing fascist, you damn fool.
They took it down, but not before everybody hollered, “Shuddup!”
Thanks to everybody for the heads up.
Let’s cut them some slack. They probably think the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is populated entirely by members of the NSGOP (Not So Grand Old Party).

The word “socialism” is so loaded. The term does not distinguish between democratic societies with big safety nets and totalitarian states with big armies. The Right just uses this confusion to take money away from kids with cancer so rich people can buy bigger yachts.
3I had this discussion with a former co-worker and some of his ‘friends’ recently. I was told repeatedly that I didn’t have a clue about the world so I rooted around for some references and used Wikipedia. You would have thought I quoted Snopes.com to these intellectual giants. How gauche that I would have used open source knowledge to attempt to set them straight. I had to drag out the big guns and give them virtually the same quotes from Britannica. Ya know, they still didn’t buy it. There comes a time when you just have to give up on idiots.
4What was it I once heard? Faith without a degree of doubt equals ignorance.
5The “get off that cross crowd” is a waste of lumber as they perpetually play the victim. Of course they deny the Holocaust, the Trail of Tears, slavery, Jim Crow, the existence of asylum seekers, and all tragic events in history. There is no pain like their pain; they are the victims in the tiny closets that substitute for a brain.
6Harris County GOP jumped the Luger.
The Texas textbook committee removed Anne Frank from the history books, but hasn’t yet replaced her entry with Leftism Kills.
After they do, you can look it up.
7They really need to just STFU. They have no idea or feel for what minorities think or have experienced. They live in a bright white world. Here in Nebraska our local GOP ran a radio ad in 2008 trying to convince local Black voters to support them. Because ‘Lincoln freed the slaves.’ I only heard it once, never again.

Yep, totally agree. I’m afraid the US is there. They’ve already gone there with immigrants, imprisoning innocent children and unjust laws against LGBQ community. My question: Who will the current ultra conservative, fascist GOPs finger next as the national cause of all economic and social woes? I can check off three boxes on this list.

10I disagree with Hermite as SOCIALISM like COMMUNISM are NOT loaded words, it is rather that ‘mericans are just plain st00pid!! I challenge any one to show me where a WORKING socialism or communism caused harm and killing! And before you start USSR WAS NOT a communism or a socialism, not china, nor nazi germany. When you have a group living high on the hog while others suffer you have a totalitarian gov’mint not a communism or socialism; only a few european states have a working democratic socialism in place. Almost every PURE form of government is bad! And I would take a left government over anything the criminal right has to offer.

12Despite their protestations, Republicans really don’t believe in democracy. Their constant attempts to disenfranchise minority voters, gerrymander to ensure it’s not a level playing field and legislate to grab all the power and money are proof positive that they really prefer an oligarchy, which is closer to fascism.
13That’s why they won’t oppose Adolph Trump.
