Awkward

June 14, 2022 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Okay, so now it’s revealed that Kimberly Guilfoyle, girlfriend of Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr, was paid $60,000 to speak at the January 6th rally, a speech that lasted less than three minutes.

Thelma, who doesn’t make that much money working on her feet for a year, was perturbed. She announced that she could also tease up her hair, get herself some store-bought ta-tas, shoot a pound of Botox in her lips and rent herself out for three minute speeches. She’d draw the line at having to date Donald Trump, Jr., but other than that …

Anyway, this revelation about Guilfoyle comes at a particularly awkward time for Republicans.  They discovered that several Democrats were paying money to family members from their campaign fund so the day before the hearing, they put forward a big ole bill saying you can’t pay your family.

Relatives who fall under the proposed ban would include spouses, parents, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren, and domestic partners as well as the spouses of campaign committee members.

And then the day after that, her comes Kimberly and her $60,000.

Thank goodness for the girlfriend/fiancé exception.

It’s a great time to be alive.

  1. Trump fiances gotta grift.

She’s the one who said she’d do a personal lap dance and hot tub party for a big money Trump donor.

  2. I guess she’d fall under the category of domestic partners, so it could get interesting. Wonder how the Republicans will wiggle out of that one.

  3. In the same way, but hugely more influential, a person that Ms. JJ recently wrote an article about,
virtuoso grifter Catherine Engelbrecht, founder of Texas-based nonprofit True the Vote, has just had a long, detailed exposé appear in the Texas Tribune.

Oh Yeah! Ms. Cathy and her minions are co-producers of Dinesh D’Souza’s craptastic newly released film “2000 Mules”, a gigantic “Big Lie” hit with the MAGAot crowd.

Read these articles! More than worth your time.
They delved into the entire history of TTV, digging up hundreds of financial documents and IRS 990 returns [I discussed the 2020 one in JJ’s recent article].
They found dozens of fraudulent transactions [you really need to read the articles there are so many], but prosecution would require action from the Texas AG, Ken [indicted for fraud hisself] Paxton.
So it’ll be up to the Federal DOJ and IRS to pursue this rampant fraud.

This is an article based on an extensive investigation and article by Reveal, from The Center for Investigative Reporting.

“She helped create the Big Lie. Records suggest she turned it into a big grift.”:
    https://www.texastribune.org/2022/06/14/true-the-vote-big-lie-election-fraud/

“Over the last two presidential election cycles, True the Vote has raised millions in donations with claims that it discovered tide-turning voter fraud. It’s promised to release its evidence. It never has.

Instead, the Texas-based nonprofit organization has engaged in a series of questionable transactions that sent more than $1 million combined to its founder, a longtime board member romantically linked to the founder and the group’s general counsel, an investigation by Reveal from The Center for Investigative Reporting has found.

A former PTA mom-turned-Tea Party activist, True the Vote founder Catherine Engelbrecht has played a pivotal role in helping drive the voter fraud movement from the political fringes to a central pillar in the Republican Party’s ideology. Casting herself as a God-fearing, small-town Texan, she’s spread the voter-fraud gospel by commanding airtime on cable television, space on the pages of Breitbart News and even theater seats, as a new feature film dramatizing her organization’s exploits, “2000 Mules,” plays in cinemas across the country.

Along the way, she’s gained key allies across the conservative movement. Former President Donald Trump, who shouts her out by name during rallies and held a private screening for the film at his Mar-a-Lago resort, exploited the group’s declarations to proclaim that he won the popular vote in 2016. Provocateur Dinesh D’Souza partnered with Engelbrecht on the film. And she’s represented by the legal heavyweight James Bopp Jr., who helped dismantle abortion rights, crafted many of the arguments in the Citizens United case that revolutionized campaign finance law and was part of the legal team that prevailed in Bush v. Gore.”

  5. Nick Carraway says:

I’m inexperienced in these things, so someone will need to tell me the going rate for a lap dance from an almost famous woman in her forties. Are we putting singles in the g string or are we expected to put in fives and tens? Is there a flat rate involved that saves her from the indignity of waiting for single bills? Maybe she gets the singles and Donnie gets the lump sum? I’m not sure how I would feel about Ms. Carraway shaking her wares in order to raise money for the cause, but hey, I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

  6. john in denver says:

Damn clever of those Republican sponsors to exclude the spouses or domestic partners of children. I think that would snare at least a couple of the Trump children’s gigs with various PACs.

And I’m not certain if this law would impact Rep. “bim” Boebert, CO-3, who may well have paid some of her own bills from campaign contributions. Or maybe that 39,000 miles of driving was actually driving AND hotel rooms … and meals.

    6
  7. $60,000?
That’s a lot of money on a per word basis.
But I’ve heard Kimberly speak and I suppose they thought they’d get their money’s worth when you take into account volume and how wide her mouth can open.

Another person who made the list of ERBWWBIH.

  9. maryelle says:

Thanks for that visual, Rick. Colbert played the clip of her screaming at the podium on Jan. 6 and you nailed her Stumpian attributes: the cavernous mouth spewing gawd-awful howls. But worth 69K? Sure, if you’re dumb as dirt.

    9
  10. From another article (sorry, no link), it was Chas Kirk that gave her the money .

    10
  11. Harry Eagar says:

Jim, just so but a special grand jury needs to be empaneled to tease out the various money streams. I am not persuaded that they are truly independent.

Also, I wonder which other speakers were paid.

    11
  12. What’s with all these MAGA women doing howler monkey imitations. Kimberley, Bimboebert, Greene.

  13. Mike @ 12,

    Shallow gene pool, maybe?

  14. crazy quilter says:

I’ve always thought she had a mouth that could suck the chrome off of a trailer hitch and that picture proves it.
And why does she wear her hair pulled over her forehead and shoulders that way? She looks like the Hunchback of Notre Dame.
I know this is all about her looks but there’s nothing intelligent to say about her thoughts.

    14
  15. crazy quilter @14, About the ‘trailer hitch’:
That remark was made by, and probably improvised from ancient slang, the great [and liberal] Willie Nelson in the 1979 movie “The Electric Horseman”.

  16. Sandridge says:

john in denver @6, Have you heard any more about the breaking news of Lauren Boobert allegedly having had two abortions due to her former occupation as an alleged escort/prostitute?

Or why after first spending ‘some time’ with her, detesTed Cruz encouraged her to run for Congress and began donating huge sums to Boobert’s campaign?
    A little congress begets Congress?

    16
  17. crazy quilter says:

Sandridge #15. I did not know that. I remember seeing previews of that movie but never went to see it. Thanks for the information.
