McConnell Is A Disgusting Jerk

February 13, 2021 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

My phone has been dinging like a bad hand bell choir with question about what the hell is Mitch Connell doing?

Mitch is forever a hypocrite.

He votes against impeachment and then gives a “Lock ‘em up!” speech afterwards.

He refuses to hold an impeachment trial while Trump is in office and then votes not guilty because he’s not in office.

He blocks Merrick Garland 237 days before an election but then confirms Amy Coney Barrett 8 days before an election when 65 million people had already voted.

Grrrrrrr …

  1. Mitch is making nice with his corporate donors. Money/power/judges that is Mitch everything else is just show biz.

    1
  2. Terminality cannot come soon enough for Mitch.

    2
  3. I would love to hear from Karen Pence.

  4. Steve from Beaverton says:

Yes, moscow mitch is the head disgusting jerk of a conference of disgusting jerks. They are bowing down and licking the asshole of the orange asshole that almost immediately announced his comeback tour. Karma needs to bite all of them and let the floodgate open on Trumpf legal troubles. Hopefully at least are few felonies for which he’ll convicted. Damn

    4
  5. Jane & PKM says:

Mort Blackwell trained Moscow Mitch very well as he did the former Vice Poodle Pence. Donnie nearly arranged to have Mikey hung, but it’s all rainbows and puppy dogs between them now. At least for the public view although Mikey isn’t exactly “in view.” Mort probably sent he and Mother on a lovely all expenses paid vacation to buy Mother’s silence.

Shoot Steve Scalise in the butt. Meh. Kill a Capitol policeman, injure over a hundred, and threaten members of Congress. Meh. Keep those tax cuts coming. Oh yeah.

    5
  6. Way more than a jerk or a hypocrite. He is focused solely on retaining power. He’s as cynical and craven as they come. A soulless, amoral excuse for a human being.

    6
  7. Steve from Beaverton says:

The senate should hold McConnell to his words today that Trumpf is responsible for the attack on the capital by a formal censure condemning him. If it’s possible, it should include a statement saying Trumpf should never again hold a public office and position of trust. Not sure what majority would be needed to censure, but this can’t just be brushed aside. Needs to happen.

    7
  8. Steve from Beaverton says:

Just googled senate censure and only requires a majority. Today’s vote of 57-43 would make it bipartisan.

    8
  9. Jane & PKM says:

Steve from Beaverton @8, censure would only have been binding, if TRump had been convicted by the Senate. A censure would function as a nonbinding public rebuke of Trump’s actions. Congress lacks the legal authority to otherwise reprimand Trump if the trial falls short of conviction.

    9
  10. Mitch is all about power. And money. And power – did I mention that? He’s cunning and disgusting and a hypocrite. Never trust him. Never ever.

JJ: have you seen this about Ken Paxton?

  11. Someone did the math: the senators who voted to convict represent 77 million more Americans than those who didn’t.

Also, half of the Senate (the Dems + 2 Independents) represent 44 million more Americans than the other half.

    11
  12. Steve from Beaverton says:

It’s worth a try, and running as a president with a bipartisan censure on his resume might be worth the effort. Again, it would put mitch on the spot again. That’s also worth it.

    12
  13. McConnell advised that this would be a vote of conscience. It’s hard to place that kind of vote when you are lacking the requisite moral compass. I despise this cold, calculating, soulless bastard more than Trump himself.

    13
  14. Did anyone catch the House Managers’ press conference afterwards? It was good, but Madam Speaker made a surprise appearance that made my day. Her bit starts around 1:45.

I am aware of what a nincompoop he is. I’ll write about it more often.

    15
  16. Grandma Ada says:

And his voters gave him six more years in office last November, so we are all stuck with him. And Nancy Pelosi rocked this afternoon

    16
  17. Mitch is a greedy, cowardly, hypocrite. In other words, a Republican.

But now that the political show is over, can we move on to the criminal trials?

    17
  18. Grandma Ada @ 16,

I rather hope that Lady Karma will get fed up enough to send a lightning bolt with his name on it.

    18
  19. Harry Eagar says:

McConnell set himself up to run against the Democrats if they don’t prosecute trump; and if they do.

I am trying to think of a more cynical speech in American history but so far nada.

the senate gop is a whore. has been a whore since the beginning of time. they are whores, claiming to be christian. if only there were a god, she would be utterly repulsed by their complete corruption

  21. Jane & PKM says:

Ms. Juanita Jean Herownself, could you add/or would you please entice or otherwise politely ask/invite the erudite encyclopediac wealth of knowledge hisownself daChipster to reveal the down and dirty on long time seditionist Morton C. Downey?

We can all link to Mort’s Leadership Institute, Reagan, Moscow Mitch and the former Vice Poodle. But daChipster can deliver Mort’s history in the way that reveals the true puppet master of Republicon sedition. Please?

    21
  22. Jane & PKM says:

    Sorry. Correction. Morton C. Blackwell.

    22
  23. And not one damned thing happened that we didn’t know was going to. All I know is that I am tired and don’t want to hear another word about it.

I just hope all the criminal investigations put Trump behind bars or at least keep him so busy that he doesn’t have time to do any more damage to our country.

I’ve also just had a couple of glasses of wine, so….

    23
  24. someone should install a moral compass on his desk so he can follow the spinning arrow.

    24
  25. @PP
    Thanks for the link. Inspiring.

    25
  26. charles r phillips says:

Nothing new here; they’ve done this crap before and they will do it again, and defend their actions with screams of “Benghazi,” or “her emails,” or some other reference to some other long-ago disproven scandel that only existed in their tiny, predator brains.

Let’s find a way to destroy that tactic before they manage to retake senate and house, shall we? Like hang Trump around their necks like a dead albotross?

    26
  27. Jane & PKM says:

Mr. Phillips, how about flashcards for responding to the juvenile delinquents ‘across the aisle’? For instance, Benghazi. How much did all those investigations cost? How many wasted hours? And iirc 0, the number of convictions. Or maybe Obama 8 years, few indictments, fewer convictions; Donnie 4 years … oh yeah.

For those 2022 Senate races, there’s Mitch: “I voted to acquit; now let me speechify about how guilty he was.” Must be at least a dozen campaign ads in that gem.

    27
  28. thatotherjean says:

Mitch is for Mitch. Whatever feathers his nest is what he has done, does, and will do for as long he’s in Congress. I can’t even refer to him as McTurtle over this, because no turtle is such a disgusting, power-hungry hypocrite.

    28
  29. Bob Boland says:

Given that Elaine Chao, former Secretary of Transportation and Mitch’s wife, almost certainly committed some prosecutable hanky-panky while in office, Mitch may find himself named as an accomplice to her deeds. Nothing in the Constitution would protect him from prosecution.

    29
  30. Jane & PKM:
The flash cards idea is a good one. I’d never heard of Mort Blackwell or the Leadership Institute, but it sounds like exactly the kind of resource that Lakoff and others have been talking about for years. Just one part of the infrastructure. And IMHO flash cards is the best way to visualize the kind of ammunition they provide to their operatives or anybody who’ll listen. Attack talking points instilled and constantly rehearsed. It’s makes it so much easier for them to toss off as well established truths and “given thats” as favorable starting points for more new lies, which will be the “given thats” a week later.
    Lather, rinse, repeat ad nauseum.

    30
  31. But having said that, it reminds of why the right seems to be so much much better equipped. It’s not just the massively well funded infrastructure. But when I try to imagine the diligence and thought put into studying and vilifying opponents, basically wallowing in the filth that is opposition research so much that it becomes second nature, I can’t imagine much more of a miserable existence.
And if that’s true, who’s the kind of person who gets satisfaction from that as a lifestyle?

    31
  32. P.P., we discovered Mort in searches to answer a question of how/when/why the RNC capitulated to tRump in 2015. Prior to his meeting with Reince Priebus, Donnie was not particularly embraced as a Republicon. Oh for a transcript or recording of that meeting.

Two of the better known graduates of Mort’s academy the Leadership Institute were Mitch McConnell and Mike Pence, among nearly 250,000 others. Troopers for the conservative long game going for 4 decades since Reagan. Where they all fit with the Federalist Society, ALEC and other organizations set to take over everything from school boards to state legislatures to Congress to the courts is a massive puzzle.

Only people I know with the ability and knowledge to chart that puzzle are Ms. Juanita Jean Herownself and da Chipster. da Chipster is a master at answering questions. As an example somewhere in the archives of the WMDBS is the answer he gave circa 2015 as to the antipathy created toward Hillary Clinton years ago before she and the Big Dog ever left Arkansas. Complete with all the players including George and Kellyanne Conway, he made the history clear and lively for those of us who were only privy to the history book versions.

How to out Republicons and their Frank Luntz styled talking points in 2022? Keep it simple. Solid 3 facts per flash card responses delivered with a barely perceptible head shake no, and a slight smile. Can’t fall into the “oh they’re so shrill” traps they set. Like Lucy and Charlie with the football, we know what they do and how they do it, so basically stop allowing them to frame the debates and be ready with facts to debunk their repeated lies.

    32
  33. It was reported several years ago that up to 50% of a congress critters day is spent making cold calls for campaign funds. Between their addiction on corporate donations and poorly spent time management its time for publicly funded campaigns and a three month election period to ensure that the taxpayers work is being done and they are earning their taxpayer funded salaries and compensation.

    33
  34. PKM @ 27;

Flashcards? I’m thinking aggressive, truthful and provable rants. Constantly, from now until they get out of politics. No compromise, no giving in to get along.

    34
  35. Mr. P, I do not disagree with you one iota. It’s all communication to reach a wide range of audience. Totally in agreement that the Moscow Mitch crowd have nothing coming. lol Bi-partisanship? Yeah Mitch, you first. As if that would ever happen.
