And So It Continues

March 02, 2020 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Amy Kloubachar just dropped out and threw her support behind Joe Biden.  Someone I love voted for Amy Kloubachar (this person early voted last week) so this person is kinda sad today.

(Sorry I just had to edit that.  Certain people I know aren’t allowed to express their political opinions or say who they voted for.  They are, however, allowed to say if they are Democrats or Republicans.  Weird, right?)

  1. Gee Wiz…….all I want is someone decent who will respect people/clean the water/federal parks/the law of the land/clean air/believes in science/clean food(pork)et al.
I want a president who is silent, working, not watching TV, not concerned with hair and make-up……I am back to Decent and Real. I am exhausted from the constant chatter coming from the WH. I am just exhausted.

We have compassion for your Honorable Judge. Our fav suspended before the caucus here leaving us in the “undecided” category for the first time in our short voting history.

Early voting is great for GOTV. But the exiting candidates will throw some X factor uncertainty to the prognosticators. So long as everyone votes in the general, it’s all good.

I early-voted for Klobuchar as well,so I’m saddened to see her go.

Ms. Juanita Jean Herownself. My bad, should have thought of that, too. Would you please fix or edit my comment as suits you? Apologies and tia.

Fran Seyer, All I want is someone who surrounds him/herself with competent scientists, doctors, economists, historians, administrators and advisors of all kinds and listens to them and makes decisions based on their advice.

And to hold onto the House and flip the Senate.

Is that too much to ask?

    5
  6. Sounds like mayor pete will throw in his hat for biden.

    6
  7. Yes, and all that too, Lazrgrl…..I wore myself out with my short list. I hope Mayor Pete runs for the Senate here…..we have a couple of trump lover Senators here…..and at least one gone would help IN. And we do not want dense pence back in any public role.

lazrgrl: agree, but let’s add — no supreme court vacancies until a Democrat is sworn in as POTUS.

Is that too much to ask?

I think Warren would be good, but I hate to say, this is going to be a year of old white guys fighting each other. Ugh!

  10. Opinioanted Hussy says:

Grandma Ada…Have to say, I agree with every one of your comments that I’ve seen posted in this here political organization. Guess that makes us Persisters!

So, for those who voted (or caucused) for Kloubachar or Buttigieg: is Biden your fallback choice as well? I’m curious in part to estimate where their yet-unvoted supporters will go, and in part because I respect the views of the gang here … and I won’t be voting until May.

And as an old white guy, I also agree with Grandma Ada and Opinionated Hussy: enough with these guys who formed their mental landscape watching Gunsmoke on TV. We started out with plenty of youngsters and women who have the energy and smarts to be a good President. Too bad it’s down to Bernie, Biden, and Bloomberg’s bank account.

  12. Now I can vote in the R primary for Weld.

The republican precinct judge need to know not everybody who votes r loves Trump.

    12
  13. Jane & PKM says:

Crone @12, we might have kept our powder dry for the NV Republicon primary, except their ballot does not, we kid you not, include the presidential race. No Weld or any choice for NV Republicons. Such chickensoap in obedience to the ***king moron.* Two words to Ronna Romney McDaniel and the RNC: bwaaack bwaack.

    13
  14. Yeah, we have friends in Tahoe on the Nv side who were looking forward to a protest vote. I cannot remember a time when states took an opponent against a sitting POTUS off the ballot. Has that ever happened before?

Last time I remember someone running against an incumbent Democrat was Kennedy/Carter.

Bet the Rs were afraid of the result were the king to have opposition. Wonder how much Trump has paid off through campaign contributions?

    14
  15. Jane & PKM says:

Crone, guess who owns a reported $59 million, and a solid steal at that, of Tahoe real estate? Hint: not us and it begins with Z. Think we could get away a little protest in his driveway?

To your question; probably never and certainly not with this degree of in your face as demonstrated by the RNC.

ROFL Donnie* pay? Donnie* is saving anything in his campaign donations for legal expenses. Probably a little cash provided by the Mercers or the usual suspects.

    15
  16. Wish I could remember where all I read, his campaign has been making contributions, especially to senators during the non hearings.

IIRC, there is also some lakefront Tahoe property owned by a big international arms dealer. I am forgetting his name.

  17. Paul ADK says:

    @Crone #14:

Or, more likely, the Russian oligarchs who have been flooding the GOP with cash via the NRA.

  18. Streganonna says:

My friend and I did early voting in NC. Now I regret it. My choice didn’t make it to the end and now I can’t vote for someone who might have a chance to run against Herr drumf. I think this will be my last time to early vote. It was waaaay back on the 14th of last month. I’ve learned a very bitter lesson!
