Bar the Barr
More than 1,100 former federal prosecutors serving under both Democratic and Republican administrations have heavily chastised Bob Barr for his obscene behavior in the Roger Stone case.
Chastised is such a nice word. They asked him to resign and get the hell outta Dodge for being, as Thelma calls him, “Chubby Hitler.”
Oddly, they asked lawyers in the current Justice Department to report any future incidents of obstruction of justice to … uh, whoever will listen.
Strikingly, the lawyers called upon current department employees to be on the lookout for future abuses and to be willing to bring oversight to the department.
“Be prepared to report future abuses to the inspector general, the Office of Professional Responsibility, and Congress,” they wrote, and “to refuse to carry out directives that are inconsistent with their oaths of office.”
Oh yeah, that’s the ticket! Trump will fire you and your brother. Furthermore, he’ll replace you both with a former Ralph Lauren model or Anthony Scaramucci.
Actually, they are setting the stage for the next Attorney General (under a Dem administration, of course) to bring charges against Barr and his enablers. Disbarment, at least.
1Anthony Scaramucci has potential. Remember the eight days of the Mooch when even Sarah Chuck-a-Load Sandbags looked almost pretty? He could be a virtual Annie Sullivan for Republicons, if they want to put lipstick on a pig.
Ms. Juanita Jean Herownself, I beg you to think about this before you club me like a seal pup. Send all Republicon nominees to the Mooch for a makeover before they lie to the Senate. If he can’t fix those only a mother could love faces, Moscow Mitch must reject the nominees. *If only* we could send several of Donnie’s* department wreckers back for retroactive appointments with the Mooch.
Meanwhile, good luck to anyone in the DOJ hoping for protection from the Whistleblower Protection Act of 1989, 5 U.S.C. 2302(b)(8)-(9), Pub.L. 101-12nas amended.
2Can we gwt a bumper sticker.

rastybob@3, do you have a printer? It’s easy to print anything you want including bumper stickers (goggle bumper stickers). Or, you can take your ideas to any of the electronics & more chains to have them printed at a nominal cost (cents).
BarbinDC, “setting the stage,” indeed. A good thing and something Republicons should contemplate ahead of a more disgruntled populace erecting scaffolding.
4Here’s how Nancy Pelosi is forcing Trump and Republicans over a cliff
Excerpt:Even while knowing that Senate Republicans would acquit Trump, Pelosi set a trap for Trump and his obsequious Republican supporters on Capitol Hill. Lacking Pelosi’s inner confidence and skill at three-dimensional political chess, Trump and Congressional Republicans fell into Pelosi’s clever trap.
The trap: By supporting Trump no matter what, Republicans are stuck to him with political superglue. As Trump behaves ever more like a dictator, even referring to himself as “The King” in a tweet, elected Republicans cannot break free of him without tearing themselves apart.
The Democrats would have scored a huge victory had Trump been removed. That would have put Mike Pence in the White House. While Trump poses as a bigger than life character, Pence is a mere figment, a minor politician with no great political appeal, following, or track record.
Trump Overplays His Hand
But even without convicting Trump, Pelosi’s strategy wins because now he mistakenly believes he is free at last from political constraints.
Now Trump fully embraces his instinctive—and utterly mistaken—belief that our Constitution gives him authority to “do whatever I want.”
Actually our Constitution gives the executive the duty to do what Congress tells him to do and to “faithfully execute” those powers and duties.

5I do believe, according to the lawyer’s Code of Professional Responsibility, lawyers SHALL report conduct violating the CPR rules.
6WhenI worked as a state prosecutor – appointed DAs – we were NOT allowed to report such behaviors to the State Bar Association, and if we did we were fired for insubordination.
Go figure.
Um. When I got to thinking about the FBI 24 hours ago, something automatically popped up in my pointy little head: a visage of J.Edgar Hoover and his secret files on just about everybody breathing. Please don’t tell me that there isn’t someone like that in some of the the J Department who could pull rug out rom under whoever’ feet whenever they want. What J Edgar did is contagious and ten to one there were no teams n has mat suits doing housecleaning when he died.
7Now would be a good time to screen “Judgment At Nuremberg” for all employees of the Justice Department.
8Even as of yesterday the so called liberal pundits on MSNBC were “wondering” what happened to the mythical barr they supported for AG because of his commitment to the rule of law.
9Even after he had the treasury department fire up the presses to print off enough pardons to keep perjurer poppa out of jail and his discrete stonewalling of the Iran/Contra investigation to ensure not only that the guilty parties get off scot free but that they kept their political viability.
One would be hard pressed find a thuglican effort to undermine the rule of law since addled ronnie that barr did not leave his grubby little paw prints on.
Yet even today we hear from the “elite” liberal’s about how much he has changed. How they could never see this gutting of the rule of law from him.
I want a list of every D who said anything good about barr either before or during the confirmation publicly drummed out of the party and sent to political Coventry.
I also want every elected D who said anything good about barr either before or during the confirmation to be primaried with the emphasis on how can we trust people with such poor judgement.
Anyone with half a brain could see where this was going. Especially after his “application” letter, before nomination (op-ed) on how unjust the Mueller whitewash was of his demented donnie.
No d who supported this abomination should be trusted with any position in or out of the party ever again.
K, how did you restrain yourself from throwing an object through your TV? Seriously. We yanked cable keeping only the internet to provide programming. After more than a year without cable, we can barely tolerate a few minutes of what passes as the ‘news.’
Oh lordy “the mythical barr they supported for AG because of his commitment to the rule of law.” Until the media posers can actually find their own available files, (*see Barr 1991 to 1993, George H. W. Bush) we won’t be viewers anytime soon.
10I rarely watch any “news” on tv.
11Mostly just streaming.
Occasionally I will watch a little of rachel but ever since she let the twits apoligist ( nicole ) claim the twits admin and espiacially her boss cheny never subverted US intelligence without throwing Valerie Plume in her face or his reliance upon personal freindship with saudi’s to disband joint anti terrorism task force and allow 9/11 to happen that has diminished as well.
I try to go watch something more based in reality such as Avenue 5
K, lol with you. Nicolle Wallace, a good reminder not to be fooled that there any ‘reasonable’ Republicons remaining, especially those who are concern trolling us in an election year. Similar to Nikki Haley and a number of Republicon women dispatched to hide the ugly of conservative policies with a veneer.
12Federal judges are taking exception to Billy Bob Barr and Donnie*.
“WASHINGTON – A national association of federal judges has called an emergency meeting Tuesday to address growing concerns about the intervention of Justice Department officials and President Donald Trump in politically sensitive cases, the group’s president said Monday.
Philadelphia U.S. District Judge Cynthia Rufe, who heads the independent Federal Judges Association, said the group “could not wait” until its spring conference to weigh in on a deepening crisis that has enveloped the Justice Department and Attorney General William Barr.
“There are plenty of issues that we are concerned about,” Rufe told USA TODAY. “We’ll talk all of this through.”
