John Cornyn: Poopie del Pollo King
So, the Dallas Morning News (behind a paywall) ran this headline ….
Stunning. I’m pretty sure he doesn’t understand the purpose of the United States military. I mean, should we get out of Hitler’s way because he was intent on killing people? Or maybe withdraw Union troops because Robert E Lee really, really wants to keep his slaves and somebody could get hurt over this.
Several years ago, Cornyn ran a commercial in which he called himself Big Bad John. He dropped the commercial when everybody started making fun of it because John Cornyn is a wimp. Now he’s a wimp willing to twist himself into looking like a basket of wire coat hangers – just to please Donald Trump and insult the United States men and women in uniform.
Good Lord! Even Ted Cruz isn’t supporting Trump on this, and Ted Cruz is a gutless weenie.
But Cornyn surpasses even that.
Asked if he was satisfied with Trump’s latest moves, lifting sanctions on Turkey and declaring victory after last week’s withdrawal, Cornyn was cautious: “This thing changes pretty quickly, and we need for this to play out a little bit to have some clarity.”
So how many Kurds have been killed so far so John can get some “clarity”?
The upside – lots of Dems are running in the primary and one of them is MJ Hegar and she’s a genuine combat veteran hero.
Remember those WsMD that Dubya never did find in Iraq? The ones Bush the Older Dope sold to Saddam Hussein who expended those weapons killing his own people and the Kurds. What did the Kurds ever do to Republicons to be listed for ‘acceptable’ genocide?
John Cornyn. Really?!? A vote for ethnic cleansing …. SMDH
1The Turks have some experience with genocide. See, e.g., the Wikipedia entry on the Armenian genocide, which also refers to the Assyrian and Greek genocides, as they were part of the same Ottoman Empire policy. I’ve read elsewhere that Erdogan wants to go down in Turkish history as someone as important as Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, who secularized Turkey after the fall of the Ottoman Empire at the end of World War I. If so, he appears to believe that a return to Ottoman policies is the way to do that. Some Islamic radicalization would probably also help in that regard. This will not come to a good end without some help from western democracy.
2Good luck to Cornyn’s Senate challengers. It’s not a bad idea to get Senators who have been ethically brainwashed by Trump out of the way.
3You know, there are 5 Air Force bases in Cornyn’s home town and a couple hours up the road, the larges Army land base in the US – Ft. Hood. I wonder how all those constituents feel right now?
4Stunned? Because of something Cornyn said? Hey, aren’t we always that way whenever he opens his pie hole?

‘Illegal and Unconstitutional’: Sanders Rips Trump Plan to Use US Troops to Exploit Syria’s Oil Fields
During a press conference in the Diplomatic Room of the White House Wednesday, Trump said a “small number of U.S. troops will remain in the area where they have the oil.” The president did not specify how long or how many U.S. troops would remain stationed in northeastern Syria.
“We’ve secured the oil,” Trump said. “We’re going to be protecting it, and we’ll be deciding what we’re going to do with it in the future.”
“Last I checked, Congress never authorized U.S. forces to be deployed to secure Syria’s economic resources.”

6Love me some MJ Hegar, but Cornyn has redefined raising money from Texas oilmen to jaw dropping levels. He will have tens of millions on hand. The Democrat better find a route to victory that doesn’t require much cash.
7It’s pretty obvious that “Cornpone” Cornyn is making sure he does not offend the Trump supporters in Texas because he would definitely lose without them. He and also Ted Cruz (who would have the same position had he not been re-elected already) are both cowards and afraid of Trump. Republicans hold both of the state’s U.S. Senate seats and 25 of the state’s 36 U.S. House seats and not a single testicle among them all.
MJ Hegar has my support is exactly the kind of person Texas needs in the Senate.
