A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.

4Here’s a reason that ALL education performed by religious groups should be denied credibility in the world. A “diploma” from Covington Catholic should be treated as something less than a GED when applying for entrance at public universities and colleges. As a manager I would occasionally get a resume with an educational entry from a university that the internet informed me was some fundy, a$$-backwards institution wherein students prayed for credit. I’d rather have a trade school grad. I knew what I was getting in either case, but the trade school grad was sometimes worth the trouble.
5Micr, the only ‘guarantee’ with a diploma in many circumstances is that the individual sat somewhere for a proscribed number of years. Exhibit #1, individual-1, aka Dotard45. Although that may be facts not in evidence that he actually sat in a few classes at Wharton. Had someone placed a bowl of water with an amoeba in Donnie’s chair, the amoeba would have learned more through osmosis. Exhibit #2, Boofie Kavanaugh with an attitude that started in his home and schools failed to educate out of him.
Lordy knows what Betsy DeVile has done to destroy the distinction between accredited and non-accredited schools. She’s too busy developing a for profit angle on ‘diplomas’ for the home schooling set.

8Some parents may pull their kids out, but not because they are ashamed of racist behavior. But because the words Covington Catholic will not look good on their kids’ college applications.

d0G, yall bring up the very worst part of education mentioning Madamn deVile and the OTHER crime family in this maladministration, the deVos. My little bride has relatives in Michigan and more recently living in WisCONsin and their wisdom of the crowd view is that the deVos and their secondary families are first and foremost white trash, and secondarily, imbued with an obscene sense of entitlement. Betsy provides no dispositive evidence to that point of view.

17Video of the event in DC shows that the students were provoked by the chanting of five charming Black activists. Nevertheless I was intrigued by the Mission Statement from that school and posted the following on my own wall:

18Hope no one is surprised that it is a boys school. I read somewhere there is usually a token non-white student each year.
19You can always tell the athletes at these types of schools. They are the only black men on campus.
20This whole thing highlight the absurdity of a school sending busloads of students to ‘march’ in these anti-choice mob events. Yeah, a bunch of hormonal young men really care about this. It’s a two day junket for most of them. You gotta think once any of these little shits get their girlfriends knocked up their parent would be paying for a trip to resolve the problem.
21As several Tweeters have pointed out, it’s not so much Catholic high schools as it is the greater Cincinnati area. My son teaches at a Catholic school in New England where the progressive Democratic headmaster actively recruits a diverse student body and the kids regularly engage in social justice issues. Yeah there are still 2-3 old timey teachers who try to get kids to bus down to DC, but this year only 7 were willing to make the trip.
22For all those who have insisted on tv that they did not see any bad behavior displayed by the CovCath group, take a really good look at that picture. One of my kids got “in my face” like that just once and suffered for it! Apparently the opposition does not want to admit that there is all kind of hostility that can be expressed in different ways. The First Nation person was right. They do teach their kinds respect for their elders. CovCath obviously does not.
