OutSmart
And please ignore commenter Mike Crowe. He’s got a crippling case of scrambled brain courtesy of Fox News, and he had a humorectomy a decade ago under George W.
He also has a crush on me and feels the need to call me by name enough to give up his secret. That’s what I like to think anyway.
Mike Crowe seems like a sad little man, eat up with defeat that his mere discouraging words cannot shut down the social and political positions which so distress him. What a snowflake!
1There was a “see more” option under the old crow’s comment. Until there’s an “unsee” feature, he’ll remain on the list of those it’s best to ignore. It doesn’t require charts and graphs to know the states with the worst health care and fastest rising costs are the states with Republicon governors who opted out of the ACA.
2Apparently Mr. Crowe doesn’t fact check. He just blurts out half of the truth and expects we are too dumb to check it. I trust PolitiFact
PolitiFact: Our ruling
Valdez said DPS numbers show that 1.6 percent of crime is committed by unauthorized immigrants.
We didn’t find DPS figures or an understandable methodology to support a specific “1.6 percent” conclusion–nor did we work up what we’d consider a solid alternate estimate. Relevant data seems to be unavailable. Still, national research supports Valdez’s point that people living in the U.S. illegally account for little crime.
On balance, we rate this claim Half True.
________(Politi-Fact’s rating)
3HALF TRUE – The statement is partially accurate but leaves out important details or takes things out of context. Click here for more on the six PolitiFact ratings and how we select facts to check.
Crowe and Louie are the same person. Anyone ever see them together?
4JJ, if you are as delusional as Mike Crowe thinks you are, then I say, stay that way and more, honey. You are funny as Hell and twice as wicked smart. Always a fan…
5You mean the old goat gots the hots for Jaunita Jean?
Wonder if Old Tom’s Hot Tub is available? Juanita could give him a thrill!
6I don’t usually engage Mike, but I made an exception this time. the figure of 682,000 crimes by immigrants in 7 years seems a mite high.
7Loved that article, J.J. and I am so glad that Charles R. Phillips refuted that old crow, but I’m still stuck on driving a car with pot holders. If that gets to be a “thing”, I’d better get me some new ones without gravy stains and holes.
8Loved it, JJ, especially the part about boiling water at 40 paces and getting a speeding ticket while parked. One of the glories of Texas is its turns of speech. That’s why I miss Dan Rather on election nights– when that boy was off script, he could come out with anything.
9I enjoyed the article and your one-of-a-kind turn of phrase. Go on ya, Miz JJ.
