Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
First it was 14yo girls and now its bivalves. *BI* valves!! This is getting really crazy.
1Let’s not waste money putting up a wall to keep people out of the USA. Instead let’s build a wall around the states of Alabama and Oklahoma to keep the pervs in.
2Hey! My experience with Bama — whoever did this would win a spelling contest!
3At the same time–Gohmert [R TX ], Biggs [R AZ ], Gaetz [R FL ]
4When they are not taking turns smooching Trumps behind. Are trying to stop the Russian Interfering with the elections investigation. I wonder how money they are getting from Putin?
Roy Moore is just one more GOP perv. One among many.
New motto in Mississippi: Thank goodness for Alabama.
5I’m not so sure I really want to know about “Sex Clams”
6Roy your bilge is almost as believable as John Wayne Gacy being a clown and children’s entertainer.
7Now that is one seafood recipe I don’t want NOTHIN to do with.
8soooooo…. do you boil them first then shuck em? how does one get invited to that party? and divided? the cheap beer drinkers are on one side and the cheap wine drinkers on the other?
what? to soon?
9Perhaps that should be “Mussel” Shoals in the header?
10Aw, they probably just ran out of room on that line and couldn’t find space for one more letter. What’s one silly letter anyway? Most people in Alabama probably wouldn’t know the difference.
11Is that what the kids are calling it these days?
12The longer this goes on, the kinkier it gets. I can’t wait for tomorrow’s headlines.
13Good old Mitch just asked him to step down!!!
14I’m not so sure a dropped letter like that isn’t intentional by the paper staff to generate buzz for their publication. After all it’s not like spell-binding journalism is gonna spout forth from the Times Daily of greater northwest Ala-damn-bama.
15And I thought oysters were sleazy . . .
16I was going to say something about this, but on second thought there is no way it’s getting past Mama. No way in hell. And I don’t care for the taste of soap. So y’all just close your eyes for a second and think about what it might have been. And if it’s dirtier than what I was thinking, please let me know.
17Alabama STD: clam-idia — YUCK! Even the seafood isn’t off limits to the Roy Moore types.
18While we’re on the subject of typos . . .
slipstream once lived in a small town which had a nice big swimming pool in the park. The parks & rec people published a flyer with the schedule for the pool. Some time were reserved for swim lessons, kids swim, etc. Other times the pool was open for anybody, so the flyer said “public swim.”
Once, the flyer omitted just one letter from “public swim.”
19Sex Clams are ok until they close…
20Slipstream, in the distant, dim past, I was a teacher. A very earnest and sweet 8th grade girl wrote a 2 page paper in my civics class. (I said “distant, dim past.”) It was about the importance of voting and she used the word “public” repeatedly, always omitting the L. I never told her. She would have been permanently traumatized. I did tell my friends and we laughed hysterically.
“Voting must happen in a pubic place . . . The pubic has the most important role in government . . . Pubic participation . . . Us students are members of the pubic . . . ”
Certain lines are etched permanently on my mind.
21Proofreading is so 20th Century.
Along with critical thinking.
