And Fellow Travelers

Okay, I am darn near certain that most of you have seen this woman.

Screen Shot 2016-08-02 at 10.40.59 AM

She lives in your teevee set.  She pops up when Donald Trump needs defending, which is pretty often now days.

Her name is Katrina Pierson and she’s a real special kind of loser. She is from Texas.  Of. Damn. Course.

In 1997, she was arrested for shoplifting some dresses at J. C. Penny’s.  She says that she used that experience to “turn her life around.”

Okay.  Maybe not 360 degrees.  Okay, okay, maybe not 180 degrees.  Maybe like 45 degrees.  In the wrong damn direction.

On Sunday night, the Quorum Report’s Scott Braddock pointed out that Pierson received some $11,000 in unemployment benefits from the Texas Workforce Commission from January 2012 to November 2013—meaning she was receiving government support during a period in which she consulted for Ted Cruz’s senate campaign and was planning for her own run.

If you ever need a picture of white privilege, grab your camera and take a picture of your teevee screen because it’s likely she’s on there, stealing money and time.

Thanks to Deb for the heads up.

Be social and share!

  2. Maybe a she had a scholarship to Trump U. You think.

    2
  3. Well, maybe not white privilege. Her mother is white and her father is African-American. Self-loathing, maybe?

AlterNet.org has some fun facts about her: http://bit.ly/1UtUuSH

  4. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Donnie’s personal Cleopatra of Denial. Heard from Drumpf campaign headquarters every morning: “release the hounds.” A full on deck alert includes the flying monkeys, wombats and Jeffrey Lord.

  5. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Karen, accept that as another tacit admission by the snacilbupeR of white privilege. President Obama stands as a proud black man although his mother was white. Whereas Ms Pierson chooses not to stand proud as a black woman; she chooses to “pass” and her cohorts among the snacilbupeR encourage that. That is so 1950s.

  6. More proof, if any were needed, that “individual responsibility” Republicans believe that the rules they would apply to others don’t apply to themselves.

Reaffirming once again that hypocrisy is the chief Republican family value.

  7. Krugman has a pretty good column today about the people in the repugnantcan party who aren’t racist, or bigots, or just batshit crazy but are supporting Trump anyway. His problem is that those folks might vote for him to beat Hillary, but that doesn’t mean they’ll work for him. So all that leaves are people like this. Here’s the scary part. From what I understand, the president needs a second person to confirm a nuclear launch. And it can’t be just anyone. I mean, I could see a butler or cook say that’s crazy. I quit. This woman and the other sycophants Donnie would surround himself with would think it was an honor.

  8. Nothing that “Betty Bullets” does surprises me. Her words aren’t honest, why should he actions be?

  9. e platypus onion says:

Her degree from Drumpf U had to be in “no accounting’ because there is no way to account for the steady stream of lies from these people.

  10. I’m pleased to report that I’ve never seen that face before. I don’t have cable TV.

  11. Marcia in CO says:

This one an Omarosa … SMH

    11
  12. Apparently she has turned her life around so often and so quickly that she has screwed herself into the ground.

    12
  13. She has a blonde twin. I cringe when either comes screen. Nice to know her story of redemption.

Trump mouthpiece. Oh, my! That brought nasty images to mind. Sorry.

  15. maryelle says:

He has to recruit his spokespersons from the ranks of the criminals. Oh, my, now she will not only appear annoying and purposely obtuse, but the visual of her in and orange jumpsuit will add a certain flavor to her rantings.

  16. fun fact about Ms. Pierson, she actually has a BS in Biology, from the University of Texas. this provides some concrete evidence that she is basically an intelligent person (a degree in Biology is a hell of a lot harder to earn than one in Journalism. see: palin, sarah). however, she has made her living since then as a “political consultant” with, as near as I can tell, no bona fides for the task whatsoever, other than, perhaps, her perspective from being the child of an interracial marriage, and the poverty she was raised in, after Dad left. not inconsequential, but a tad limiting.

as well, as a trained biologist, she must adhere to the scientific theory of evolution, upon which the field relies. yet, she also adheres to a political party that has a large number of members, who truly believe all science is bunk. the cognitive dissonance is strong in this one. and yes, she’s not alone in this, in the republican party.

    16
  17. I’ve seen her once before doing an interview about Scumpf. She was terrible, absolutely worthless at it.

    17
  18. JAKvirginia says:

UPDATE: Today on CNN this titwillow blamed Kahn’s death on Obama and Clinton because they “changed the rules of engagement”. Kahn died in late 2004. Bush was President.

And SHE is the Trump mouthpiece? Oh, yeah, baby! You people are ready to run a country. You people couldn’t run a bath.

  19. Bitter Scribe says:

OK, contrarian time. If she was unemployed for 23 months and received $11,000 during that time, that works out to $478 and change a month. That hardly seems extravagant or grifty or whatever you’re getting at here.

Granted, planning to run for political office while you’re on unemployment is…unusual, but I don’t see that it’s illegal or dishonest.

    19
  20. JAKvirginia says:

Bitter Scribe: If the story above is correct, Pierson was doing (paid?) consulting work for Ted Cruz but claiming unemployment benefits. Uh, that’s a no-go.
