And You Thought Rick Perry Was Dumb?

March 15, 2016 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

My governor is dumber than dog dump.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is hog butt hard on voter fraud.  He’s opposed to it.  He’s also opposed to hurricanes but that don’t stop ‘um.

Governor Abbott tweeted:

That up there is just a picture of his tweet so you can’t follow the link.  Here it is.

Poor Abbott fell in damn love with the headline ….

… but he didn’t read the story.

First off, Texas turnout in the March 1st primary was dismal.  The only state with a worse turnout than Texas was Louisiana.

There have been more than 80 cases of voter fraud prosecuted in Texas since 2002, a Politifact report found last year. Only a handful of those cases involved the kind of in-person voter fraud that Texas’ voter ID law aims to stop.

The newspaper relied on research that found “fewer Texans commit in-person voter fraud than get struck by lightning.

So, Greg, read the damn story.

Thanks to everybody for the heads up.

Be social and share!

The GOP definition of voter fraud is poor and minorities voting.

JJ, you lost Abbott at “read the damn story”.

  3. Hate to get into a spat about Governors…..but Mike Pence wins hands down……he is against anything that gives rights to people……and our legislative is second to none…….Indiana wins.

  4. The GOP definition of voter fraud is Democrats voting.

  5. Annabelle Lee says:

“More Texans than ever before are voting and Republicans are concerned” just about sums it up.

I look forward to Greg Abbott’s next tweet, announcing a thorough investigation has determined Texans struck by lightning had not, by and large, engaged in voter fraud, so the crack down will continue.

“If God can’t solve this problem with lightning strikes,” Abbott declared, “I will with voter I.D.”

When the PA republicans were trying to prove their case for a Voter ID law, the judge (Dem) required them to produce actual instances where in-person voter fraud occurred in the state. They could not produce one, so the judge struck down the law as an unnecessary and burdensome obstacle for voters.
    Thank god for that judge!

Um, I think Sam Brownback is at least as bad as Pence, and Scott Walker is worse!

  10. Are you sure Ab-but is literate? I know way too many people in D.C. with degrees who depend on subalterns to read stuff for them and then relay the data orally. Some of them even have Phi Beta Kappa keys. And I am not kidding!

  11. As to who is the worst governor, I don’t see it as a contest. We could probably choose any Republican and make a case for him/her. If one lives in any one of those states it would seem the worst, simply because of the proximity. Shall we just agree that Republican governors are the worst, period?
They all stink and I personally believe they will each have to pay for their sins eventually. If not here on earth, then in that place where they will be beyond redemption.

  12. South Dakota’s snacilbupeR Gov. Dennis Dumf**k, er, I mean, Dennis Daugard and his overwhelming snacilbupeR legislature has to be #1. They murder individuals who get in their way and within the past year moved to causing the death of entire families via mega corruption.

    Beat that!

  13. I hope after living through hell with dumbkoff Perry and a term with Abutt, Texans wake the hell up and get to the polls and elect someone we can respect and be proud of! These two idiots have embarrassed Texas way too many times.

As far as States go, I have lived in crAzy, Ca.,and currently NY.
I don’t know where I’ll live next–in traveling 13,000+ miles across the country East of the Rockies for job interviews, I discovered that people are amazing and wonderful everywhere, from ND to Mississippi, Long Island to Ohio, and very where between. 20 interviews, dinners, city tours mixed with the Bluebird Cafe, the “Woodchipper” Museum and accidentally dropping in on the “Blue’s Club” of Memphis’s annual rib potluck and dance…America is great, her people so much better than what the “Drumpft” brings out. I generally pray for both sides in arguments, for we are all created equal in the eyes of our creator–and I am, I’m just praying for a lighting strike on that beacon of racism, the Golden self worshipping calf of The Donald…ten commandment style.

  15. Aggieland Liz says:

Yeah, JanK I think you’re right-and not only that, every time you think they can’t get any worse/dumber? THEY DO! Maybe they think it’s a contest?

I was wrong. I’m not tired of politics. I’m tired of Abbott, Patrick, Cruz, Cornyn and Donny. Let’s get out the oil can and do a clean up job and get things moving again, if they ever were.
