Open Tuesday Night Primary TV-A-Thon

March 15, 2016 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Primo says he’s snowed under at work so I’m gonna talk a minute about tonight’s results.  Like you, I will be plastered in front of the teevee watching this mess.

Florida will make or break Rubio.  Ohio will make or break Kasich.  Donald Trump will make nothing and break everything.

And Bernie Sanders might have another surprise in his bag.

Get your popcorn ready!

Be social and share!

  1. Once upon a time one of the local tv stations ran over and over and over and over the video from a traffic accident. In order to talk about what happened on air the video was broadcast in very slow motion. Reminds me of the 2016 nacilbupeR primaries: a serious traffic accident we watch in slow motion, over and over and over again. July 2016 can’t come quickly enough!

    1
  2. BTW, in carrying on the slow motion collision essence of the nacilbupeR primary season, read about “the Crash at Crush” on the interweb.

  3. Polite Kool Marxist says:

The snacilbupeR big donors best be ready to write some checks. They either continue to fund losing campaigns for Ksuchasheis and R U B O, or they risk either Drumpf or Crooze limping into the convention with close to the magic number of delegates.

In any event, if an “open” convention is to result in anything but anarchy, parachuting in $RMoney or Lyin’ Ryan is not an option. Pulling the rabbit out of that hat means Kasich or Rubio. Otherwise the ‘Cons take their chances with Cruz or Trump.

Reince Priebus is suffering powder burns from all the antacids.

  4. I’m out of popcorn! Is Chex mix OK?

  5. Don A in Pennsyltucky says:

If I turn the TV on tonight or will be to watch old movies and cop show reruns; I have no stomach for reality on TV.

I have some sanity. I have no tv programming. I have no friends with tvs. I don’t eat popcorn. I’m gonna live to be a 1000 years old.

  7. slipstream says:

e platypus onion: sure, but that’s only 27 more years.

  8. JAKvirginia says:

epo? Another 900 and some odd years with Republicans?! Just shoot me now!

  9. charles r. phillips says:

Me, a kush stogie, and the exit polls. Sounds like an evening!

    Dang it,Slip.you said I didn’t look a day over 390. Sheesh!

    10
  11. MSNBC for me. I have a massive crush on Rachel, though Chris Matthews bugs me.

    11
  12. Uhoh. Is it fork poking time for the pretty little snacilbupeR boy? Drumpf whupped his little hiney in America’s dangle penis.

    12
  13. Prup (aka Jim Benton) says:

Dumbest idea of the night goes to Tweety (Chris Matthews) for suggesting a Clinton-Kasich tickey.

    13
  14. daChipster says:

I voted here in Ohio. It worked. Big night for Hillary.

    14
  15. R U BO is out. K-Sick won his owndam state. Big deal, Trump takes the rest. Where’s Carnival Cruz? Hills takes the whole shebang. I caucused for Bernie. He’s done a great service to the US in general and to us Roosevelt Democrats in particular. Now both he and Senator Warren can endorse Hillary and keep a vocal pressure on her for regulation of the financial industry.
Time to start concentrating on winning seats in the Senate along with the Presidency. Any gains in the House are bonus.

    15
  16. Prup- Tweety still belives in Centrists and unicorns. Hillary can be Commander in Chief, & make all the decisions on Foreign Policy, Immigration, Education, and the Economy. K-sick can use his expertise to tell Hillary what she can and can’t do with her ladyparts.

    16
  17. daChipster says:

I prefer to think of Kasich tonight as Governor None of the Above.

    17
  18. Wally, this would be a good partnership:

“Now both he [Bernie] and Senator Warren can endorse Hillary and keep a vocal pressure on her for regulation of the financial industry.”

    18
  19. In his speech K-sick (I like that Wally. Can I use it again?) made himself sound like the reincarnation of Mr. Rogers. Just the gentlest, kindest, cuddliest sumbitch ever.

    Right.

    19
  20. e platypus onion says:

And,might I add, Mr Rogers is DEAD.

    20
  21. Mo. is going to go down to the wire. With 56% of precincts reporting it is Sanders 51% Clinton 48%. Trump 42%, Cruz 41%, Kaisich 9%, Rubio 6%.

    21
  22. Prup (aka Jim Benton) says:

Oh, and let us congratulate Mr. Trump for finally finding a place where he could win a majority, not just a plurality —

    The Northern Mariana Islands.

(Yes, they do get nine delegates, and no, Drumpf has not won one single state with 50% of the vote yet — and no, it’s not a function of the number of candidates.)

    22
  23. NicaBrian says:

I don’t have TV so I’m getting plastered in front of my computer. Just got back and saw all these great returns!

    ♪Happy days are here again♪

    23
  24. AlanInAustin says:

Who was Rubio tring to impress with the Sunday school “I’m outta here” speech. At the end, I half-expected him to mount a crucifix and trot away on it like a broomstick pony.

    24
  25. Great image, AlanInAustin.

    25
  26. Too much playoff basketball to waste my time on politicians.

    26
  27. I gotta cross and some nails in my car, I’d send it to Marco in Fla but I’m guessing he is on the road again – still job hunting no doubt.

Just kidding. About the cross and nails that is.

Fascinating, watching Carly on Morning Joe, she appears to be arguing that Trumps appeal to Independent voters and Democrats is a liability as Republican’s should pick the nominee i.e. Crazy Cruz. The woman is clearly a shill and an idiot.

    27
  28. Elise Von Holten says:

My daughter just cut her visit with me in Upstate so she could be sure to get home to vote in her new state of Missouri–she’s voting for Bernie and so is her husband–who both used to be (I-leaning to R’s) untutored in politics but because of my massive interventions and questions about beliefs are more liberal than anything else. European exposure in their early 20’s also helped! Our job is to get the young votes to our side, even if it’s not Burnie…the young are scared (rightfully so) about the future…

    28
  29. Deb, Rubio allegedly has a job as a U.S. Senator. You would never know it by his absentee record. Florida got jerked around with his sucky work record. I can only imagine how he would transfer that “work ethic” to the White House and jerk around the U.S. He damn well shouldn’t let the door hit him where the good Lord split him — on his way out.

    29
  30. You go Elise! We need all the help we can get here in Missouri!

My neighbor across the street just stopped by, he’s an election judge, has been for decades. Cecil tells me he has never seen anything like yesterday. I won’t bore you with the details but Jackson County (Metro KC), and many other counties in Missouri are so tight it will come down to contested ballots. These are the ballots where the voter says they are duly registered but their registration can’t be immediately confirmed. It is then up to the election board to do research and in some cases for the voter to produce requested documents to clear the situation up. If the voter is denied and they wish to they can appeal the decision in court. So, tight election.

    Maggie – darned straight!

  31. Marge Wood says:

I’m getting so tired of politics.
