Fun With Guns: Well Then What The Tarnation Are You Supposed To Do At A Gun Show? Edition

March 10, 2015 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

A man fired a gun at a gun show.

An Alexandria man was arrested for the reckless handling of a firearm Saturday after he fired a gun in the midst of a local gun show, according to Fredericksburg police.

Y’all, I think they need to make the rules clearer.  I mean, think about it.  They said “Gun Show.”  There’s noting about just looking at the guns, now is there?

Thanks to Maggie for the heads up.

  1. There was a police officer working security at the show. Why would you need security at a gun show where all the people looking at and buying guns are all good guys with guns (GGWG). I’m surprised (not) that the guy wasn’t shot full of holes by the GGWG – he must be white.

    1
  2. Now I’m picturing someone doing something sketchy at the gun show, and all the GGWG turn and open fire. You know the term, “circular firing squad”?

    2
  3. I’m confused. This is actually against the rules in Alexandria? I mean, how much more open carry can you get than at a gun show? And you know the old saying: if you’ve got ’em, smoke ’em.

Well, you wouldn’t buy a car without seeing how it drives, would you? I guess they feel like that about guns too.

With incidents like this, I’m all for more gun shows. Darwin should have an award ready to bestow.

Yeah, but…. Marge Wood. Cars aren’t made to kill people although they do at times. You don’t get snockered to see how a car handles while you are intoxicated. You can’t take a gunshow gun and shoot out of season animals and as near as I can tell, there isn’t any closed season or bag limit on certain color phases of people in ‘murrica. Claim “stand your ground”and youare good to go.

I certainly did not intend to offend any one except wingnuts and I will apologize in advance to anyone other than wingnuts, who I may have offended.

  7. A gun is only a hunk of metal parts only slightly more intelligent than the people shooting them at the wrong time and place. What astonishes me is how often live ammunition finds itself in the wrong place and makes trouble for these people.

  8. Marge Wood says:

I was being sarcastic, don’t you know. We don’t have guns. Don’t apologize. I will stand in front of, next to, or on the phone to anyone at all and say HARDLY ANYONE ANYWHERE NEEDS A GUN. PERIOD. I know I sure don’t.

  9. Maybe you can answer a question for me. Guns aren’t cheap. They are pretty costly, so how are these people able to afford them?

    9
  10. Shocked! I was shocked to discover the cops arrested the guy! Too many times these cretins aren’t even given a slap on the wrist. Their guns are not confiscated. And they never look a judge in the eye.

Carol, there are some areas around D.C. with the deepest pockets this side of a canyon. These pockets wander around buying whatever is shiny and captures their eye. And the brain never has to play a part in this. I’m keeping my eye open to see if there is any follow up on this in the paper or other media. This jack wagon undoubtedly has a name and once its known it could make headlines.

Rhea@2 with the solution. It is somewhat surprising that the ammosexuals haven’t already accomplished that feat. It’s just a matter of time …

  15. Ammosexuals playing with guns are awfully deadly.

In a wealthy Minneapolis suburb a boy was playing with his daddy’s gun (NOT locked up safely. ), and shot his girlfriend twice. He then ran outside and fatally shot himself. She will survive.

I hope the gun owning parents learn from this, like Get those damn guns out of this house!

Somebody could make a neat coloring book with all sorts of interesting and fun, and maybe even occasionally factual, showin how gun owners justify their gun collections, with fantasmagoric pictures showing how their brains function differently from those of regular folks. You know, Right Brain, Left Brain, small ugly green blog in the middle where the Justification of Indoors Gun Collections resides. That one. It’s there. I swear.

Assuming this was a semi-automatic handgun, shooting one’s gf ONCE may or may not be an unintentional discharge. Shooting her twice removes IMO any doubt about unintentional. I feel for the families but the local police should look closely at the murder-suicide angle.
